"Initial discussion with contractor went well and they were responsive to inquiry from Angies List and provided a quote over the phone and scheduled the appointment. The contractor showed up on time to start the work and did a pretty good job keeping a clean workspace and clean up. I was very disappointed though upon the completion of the work in which they removed a 8in wide window and replaced it with a 4in wide glass block which left a 4in wide gap of exposed concrete foundation between the finished drywall and new window. Also while removing the old window the contractor damaged the drywall in the basement to which they replied that I could hire someone else to cover up the new 4in gap of exposed foundation and damaged drywall. The window work was good but I did not expect that I would then have additional repair work to perform after the contractor was done."

"I can't praise the workers highly enough. Everything was professionally done. The entire area was cleaned at the end of each day. They made every effort to minimize disruption to my use of the spaces. One day there was a wind storm and a piece of fascia on my neighbor's house came loose and was flapping against the house. The neighbors were out of town. Bob Marburger, the manager on the project was able to pull the fascia down. He did it without any consideration of how he might get paid for his time. In fact, when my neighbor asked him how much he was charging for the fix; Bob told him to forget it. That is an excellent example of the type of person Rick Horn hires. On more than one occasion, they took my garbage to the curb or did other things that helped me out but were unrelated to their project. I have already hired them for another project. Their prices are fair--not the lowest or the highest; but the quality you will get for that fair price is excellent. Rick Horn Construction gets my highest recommendation with no reservation."

"Shawn Kozlowski and his crew were amazingly efficient. They completed the job in three days although I had been informed that it would take a week. The job included Installation of foundation wall supports (carbon strapping) and a complete foundation drainage system that includes two sump pumps. Although the work included a great deal of concrete removal using jackhammers, digging, and finally replacing the concrete, everything was done very well. I cannot emphasize enough how clean they left my home and especially my finished basement! Thank you Aquaguard and special thanks to Shawn and his crew! -Tom"

"Dan, Walt and his crew are true rockstars. Punctual, personable and completely professional. I have had several contracting jobs and this company is on another level.
When I called Dan, my wife was two weeks from delivering our daughter. My house was a complete wreck: busted plaster everywhere, random wires draping here and there, dirt in places I didn't know existed.
To compound our problems, another contractor (the one I had just fired) had stretched out the schedule then he flaked on us. Needless to say my family and I were vulnerable, confused and sad. In such a situation, it would have been easy to take advantage of us. Several people I called clearly smelled blood and were pretty disinterested in the h*** we were going through.
When I contacted Dan, it was immediately apparent his level of professionalism was on a higher level?focused, respectful and helpful. When my wife and I met him in person, my intuition?that Dan was an all-star?was confirmed. He was smart, experienced and most importantly (especially to my wife) sensitive to our distress.
We chose Dan based only on that impression. And I can't express how beyond our expectations his team has performed. They went above and beyond. They are finishing up today and I can honestly say I'll miss having them around.
I guess my new, awesome house will have to be my consolation prize :) I can't wait to hire these folks again which will be soon.
Thank you Walt, Dan, John and Vince.
