I contacted three companies and the owner Jim Reich contacted me within 15 minutes and scheduled a date to come out and look at my yard two days later. "To qualify my answer--We have an extremely shady lawn where it's hard to grow almost anything including grass. After speaking with numerous landscape companies and getting turned down for this project due to lack of knowledge or experience with what i was asking, Brian at Sylvan Landscape agreed to research my request and give it a shot. <br /> After much research and back and forth discussion we agreed on a plan of action. Brians solution was to test plant a section of our front lawn with moss before doing the entire yard in the hopes that with success we could turn the entire lawn into a no maintenance, green landscape.  After tilling the area, and placing new soil Sylvan planted a 10ft x 10ft test plot of moss and covered it with meshing to protect from the leaves and debris that fall in the yard. <br />   <br /> I can tell you it looks great right now! Now to see how it lasts through the winter to decide if we want to do the entire lawn.
