Customers say: Quick response

"Skyler from Merrill Home Renovation recently transformed my back porch into a beautiful and functional four-season multipurpose room, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation I had. His craftsmanship is exceptional — every detail is precise, beautifully finished, and clearly done with pride and skill. The room feels warm, inviting, and seamlessly integrated with the rest of my home, and I find myself smiling every time I walk into it. What truly set this project apart was Skyler’s professionalism. His communication was clear and consistent, he showed up when he said he would, and he kept the workspace clean and organized throughout the renovation. He stayed on schedule, stayed on budget, and made the entire process easy and stress-free. I highly recommend Merrill Home Renovation. Skyler is talented, dependable, and committed to delivering top-quality results. I absolutely love my new room."

"When I first met with him, I learned that he lives in PA. He was 45 miles from NY, which is where my new home building project is located. He represented himself as someone very experienced and knowledgeable saying that was the "go to person" for several national chain stores. He made himself out to be at their disposal any time of day (24/7). He impressed me with his eagerness to please me. That was the beginning of the misrepresentation. Before he even began he had to replace all of the subcontractors. He and none of them could read blueprints. I learned that neither he nor his new group of subcontractors (friends) could read blueprints or knew how to build a house. He messed up left and right and blamed me for his incompetence. He had so far charged me $212,000 for a certain amount of work (approximately 25% of the project was completed). Without any notice, he then, walked off the job saying he would be back. I didn't see him again, until got a letter telling me that he wouldn't be back and stating I still owed him money. He wrote up his own contract in stages for me submit payments to him. He took advance payments for stages 2 and 3, although he had not done the work yet. He repeatedly made promises he didn't keep and misled me. "

"We hired them to fix a leak in the roof which required carpentry as well as foundation work. They where professional on time and the price was very reasonable. Most importantly no more leaking. We will definitely be hiring them for future projects."

Exterior view of the in-progress attached garage addition build. As you can see, the necessary siding was removed from the existing home so we could attach the garage build.
Overall view of the newly constructed back deck, which leads to the now covered patio area, via the spiral staircase.
Front view of the log cabin entry room addition highlights the stunning front door with dual sidelights.
Back view shows how much the new build towers above the existing one-story homes in the neighborhood.

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Gillett, PA

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
