"I put down a $20,000 deposit for a window order with the owner (Jerry) while he was still with his previous company ? Crown Pointe Roofing & Remodeling. I later found out on Facebook that he had left that company, and when I asked about it, I learned it was due to shady business practices ? specifically, that the company was using one customer?s deposit to pay for another customer?s job. I was even told that they did not have the funds to place my window order at all. He even took the lead installer with him to start his own company. That discovery was enough for me to cancel my order immediately, but my deposit was never refunded. While he may not be the one directly holding the funds, he was absolutely complicit in the events that led to this situation. He knew the kind of practices that were going on, yet continued to take people?s money anyway."
