"When the estimator came out, he took no notes, only measured, never explained how they did the work, and said he would email or fax us the estimate tomorrow. He acted as if he didn't care if he got the job or not. We were unimpressed with his lack of knowledge or his attitude toward the entire situation. I would never give them any work in the future."

"First, the office and sales personnel worked with me an initial, and a revised estimate. I went to the place of business while in the area. The office manager and sales rep took me to look at fences they built in the surrounding area. I was impressed with their work. So I contracted with Shuck to do my horse fence. The crew manager contacted me when he was on the way to my state, and stayed in touch to let me know when they, and the materials would arrive. The crew and manager arrived late afternoon. The manager immediately started helping me lay out the fence line. The following mornings, the fence crew and manager arrived promptly at dawn and worked until sunset. They worked extremely hard and efficient but were very meticulous. They were also very neat in that they kept left over material and scrap cleaned up. And they were also very careful with rolling their heavy equipment over a brand new riding ring. And I was astonished on how quickly the fence went up. The manager and crew work extremely well together. The crew manager was very helpful in laying out the fence in accordance with the angles of the house and barn. And giving advice on my ideas that would not work. I appreciated his expertise very much. The proof is in the result The fence looks fantastic and the workmanship is the best. I will definitely hire Shuck Fence again. <br />"

"I selected Raatz to install my fence from several bids. They weren’t the cheapest but the estimator seemed to be very knowledgeable and made some good suggestions. I knew my yard with slopes and rocky areas would not be easy so I went with the “experts”. They started on Monday April 3rd, the next day they did what they could with the rain. No one showed up on Wednesday so I called and was told they started another project and would finish mine on Friday. I let them know I was disappointed that they did not communicate the plan to me and that another project had been started while mine waited. They got the crew back out that afternoon and all was complete except my double gate on the side of the house. The guys who had installed the fence were pretty good at this point. They installed the two standard five-foot gates that had been provided and there was a 16 inch gap under the side of one gate and the gate was that much taller than the panel next to it. I said surely this is not how it is done on a slope. The installer said no, sloped gates should have been ordered and the estimator should have known that. I said then that’s what it needs to be. He said he thought they had all the info they needed but there may be someone by to double check measurements. No one offered to do anything temporary so we could use the fence for our dogs in the meantime. We got wire fencing and cable ties and put it in place ourselves. I assumed the gates were on order. It was a week later when the estimator called to tell me they would order the gates but it would cost me $350 each and it would take two and a half weeks to come in. I don't know why he waited a week to call me. I asked if my yard or the design changed since he wrote the estimate. He said no. I said then why would I have to pay extra for what should have been part of the original bid. He said I would at least have to pay freight and I said nope. He said he would talk to the boss. I said I was expecting it to be finished as soon as possible. He did ask if we needed anything temporary so we could use the fence and I said we had already taken care of it. Literally months went by – two to be exact and no contact. Meanwhile, every time we cut the grass we have to cut the cable ties for our temporary gate and then put everything back in place. Our puppy was much bigger now and we had to add a second layer of wire fencing to keep him in. This wasn’t enough as he could pull it down and jump over. I called Raatz and talked to the receptionist. She said she did not know what was going on but someone would call me that afternoon. No call. No call the next day or the next. We had to go to Lowes and purchase two six-foot fence panels and cable tie them in to the gate area to keep our dog in. This was an additional cost of us of $125. At this point I’m contacting another fence company and had them out to quote finishing the fence because of no communication from Raatz. Now it’s July and I get a call from Dave who says he is calling to arrange a time to install the gate. I said well that’s great but we are going to talk about why it took so long and no communication to the point I had engaged another company to finish their work. He clearly did not want to hear my concerns. He said to me and I quote, “It stinks to be you but I’m just trying to get this scheduled so we can get done and get paid. We are only breaking even now since we had to pay $650 each for these gates. He acted like it was my fault and they were doing some kind of special favor for me instead of doing what the original estimate specified. I explained our extra cost to get panels to keep the dog in. He said they would have come out and put something temporary in place, all I had to do was call. I said oh really, I did call and could not get a call back. I also mentioned there were some post caps missing and he said he would make sure the guys walked the fence and took care of anything missing. The gates got installed. The gates are barely adjusted for the slope, they made a big adjustment in the adjoining panel and we had to put stones underneath to keep the little dog from getting out. They did not provide or put on the missing post caps. I had to call and go get the caps myself and put them on. All in all, it was tough terrain and they did mostly a good job. Some areas I feel like, as fence experts, they should have been able to do better. I should not have had to incur costs of temporary fencing or deal with a project that took over three months (July 10th) to complete, my dog getting out, getting parts to finish myself, getting a quote for the gate when they wouldn’t get back to me. Without a doubt, I would not use them again. Dave had a chance to apologize but instead he choose to say “stinks to be you” and act like I should just be grateful that they were absorbing the cost for the gate they designed in the first place."

"We sought Missi Construction for the remodel of our bathroom and we are beyond pleased with the work of Missi Construction and the entire team! Our bathroom was extremely outdated, and Missi Construction elevated the look, feel and use of our bathroom in a way that was beyond what we could have envisioned. From the very beginning, we were informed of each step along the way of the bathroom remodel, the time it would take and communicated the process throughout. Missi took into consideration the elder members of my family who will need help in and out of the bathtub and installed grab bars, which will be so helpful! Our bathroom window had an issue with water, and Missi Construction went above and beyond to repair it. We highly recommend Missi Construction for any home remodel. They are trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable and above all, so friendly. 5 + stars!"

"Job was done well. Owner arrived promptly to discuss the job, provide options and provide estimates. Installation experienced a bit of delay due to holidays and weather - which can be expected. Removal of old fence and installation of new took place over 3 days. Job site was left clean each day and at the end. I replaced a white wooden picket fence with white aluminum Kestral picket. I’ve gone from maintenance nightmare to maintenance free! The new fence looks beautiful and I’m already getting lots of compliments."
