"First of all, we hope this is the correct Roto Rooter in Chico who came to our home today. We only see one, but want to make sure it's the one owned by Gary Hall since they list their physical address online, but this listing shows a post office box. Anyway, the condensed version of our story from beginning to end is that a few months ago we hired Able Plumbing & Electrical company (also known as Able Home Services) to hang some chandeliers. They ended up helping themselves to our home, wandering around, and posting several stickers & pouches with their name and phone number under our kitchen sink where they had no business being. While they were under our sink they sabotaged our water lines so they would drip very very slowly over a period of months (we only discovered it recently after finding six inches of moldy water in a plastic tub under the sink), all the while claiming they were only putting stickers under there. When we discovered those stickers (before we discovered the slow leak) we asked why they did that since we hired them for ELECTRICAL work, not Plumbing, and the owner said they always do it on every job. So they admitted to defacing other people's property regularly (we can't get the giant sticker off of our garbage disposer, but at least we took the big pouch off of the side of the cabinet under the sink) without even asking the property owners, and boy do we know why now. It is so they can mess with the water lines while they're under the sink! There was a l-o-o-n-g drawn out complaint process against Able Plumbing & Electrical for the lies and the fraud they committed when installing our chandeliers, Able Plumbing got scared since we not only turned them in to the BBB, but we also told them we were going to complain to the State Attorney General, so they ended up giving us part of our money back. The guys at Able Home Services are CRIMINALS as we have stated in our Angie's List report on them. They even signed up a second time on Angie's List to try to hide the bad report from us. They used their physical location and local phone on one listing, and their post office box address and toll-free number on the other so the system would accept it! Angie's List has since merged the two so they can't hide the reports they don't like (thank you Angie's List!!!) In any case, there was no way we were going to allow Able Plumbing back on our property, we didn't want to mess with the leak ourselves either and maybe make the situation worse, AND we wanted a professional plumber to take a look at the leak to 1) make sure all it was was loosened fittings, and 2) tell us what HE thought happened. Sure enough when Gary from Roto Rooter came out, I told him the story about Able Plumbing, he said he'd take a look, and it took him all of five minutes to crawl under the sink and tighten the lines that were leaking. He tested other pipes and fittings by filling the sink with water then draining it to make sure nothing else was loose, but I told him I had already tightened the three rings on the main drain pipe that also had been loosened by Able Plumbing. Gary and I discussed the fact that our home is barely 12 years old, that that is very young in "house years" and that there shouldn't be issues with the plumbing, especially in this circumstance when there was nothing at the back of the wall under the sink that would have interfered with the lines to make them come loose. Gary was very professional and didn't bad-mouth Able Plumbing, and he also said since he wasn't here when it happened he couldn't say for sure that we had been sabotaged, but then he said he could tell it had been leaking for quite awhile, all he did was tighten a couple of fittings that were loose, and when I said, "Fittings that didn't loosen all by themselves," he said, "That's right." He then only charged us $65 instead of their standard $89 for the first hour. I reminded him that when I called two days prior to make an appointment (I told them it wasn't an emergency since we had a plastic tub catching the water) his wife had told me over the phone that the minimum cost would be $89, and Gary said, "Yes I know, but I didn't really do anything!" So we were VERY pleased with Gary's work (well, you know, his "sort of" work), his attitude, his honesty, and his price. I asked him if HE had a giant sticker we could glue over the top of the Able Plumbing on our garbage disposer and he said no, he doesn't do that to other people's property, that all he has are small magnets, but he did help me get the top layer of the Able plumbing sticker off! Very nice guy, small family business, experienced, and fair priced. What else could we ask for?"

"First I called the them and they took down my information to pass to one of the water treatment people. Within about an hour I was contacted and an appointment set to come out to my home. When they arrived the tech put covers on his boots to make sure not to track dirt into my home. He sat down with me and asked why I was concerned about my water and what my main problems were. He also explained the steps that would be done to find an answer to why I was having this problem. He went through and checked the backs of my toilets to see what had collected there, never thought to look in there myself. Then he brought in test kits that looked like a small labratory and tested my water. After the testing he went over what was found and what it all meant to me. He then went over options for treating my water and why each option was different and what it would do. I ended up choosing the top due to warranty and flow for my home. <br /> <br /> When installation day came the tech that came out took the time to put down tarps to make sure that my floor stayed clean. He went over were the systems would be installed and what to expect. It took him most of the day to install it and then he went over how to take care of it. Really nice young man who I would ask for again if I needed other work. <br /> <br /> After about a week the treatment tech called me to find out how the system was working and if I wanted to have the water tested again. I noticed such a huge change in the water that I knew it was working. <br /> <br /> <br />"
