"All Affordable Plumbing was great to work with. They address my primary issue which was an issue with the plumbing in the basement. Secondly, I had mentioned to them that I will be doing a kitchen remodel project in the near future and that I will need to have the drain relocated. What they did was stage the area in prepapration for that project, so that there will be minimal work for when I start that project and have the sink in the new location. Lastly, they were very organized and professional with their work. Also, they left the area cleaner than what I presented to them"

"When temperatures dropped to -50 with wind chill, the pipes to our basement bathroom sink froze. And as soon as everything began to thaw, (on Friday night) we found that we had a ruptured hot water pipe. Water was shooting out of the wall all over the bathroom. When it became clear that our usual plumber wasn't going to show up on Saturday, I frantically called half-a-dozen plumbers from Angie's List. Only Charlie got back to me and agreed to show up after his next job. On a day that he was clearly being overwhelmed with calls from all over the city, Charlie kept his word and showed up with his partner Dimitri. They quickly figured out there were no other leaks and repaired the pipe. On top of it, Charlie spotted two other unrelated plumbing issues in our HVAC room. They were minor now but could have turned into bigger problems down the road. His thoroughness and attention to detail allowed him to spot these hidden problems and save us headaches down the road. We had our water working in under an hour (on a Saturday evening!) and he charged a very fair price given the demands upon his time. He left our house at 5pm, his phone blowing up from other customers. I asked if he was going to have an end to the day soon, but he said he still had hours to go...he had promised other worried homeowners that he would help them today. "Mattco has been performing repairs and regular plumbing maintenance at my 116 year old Chicago 2-flat for many years. Over time with experience I have gained trust in Mattco Plumbing to get me out of big jams with the plumbing in this old building. Just recently Matt repaired the 2nd floor toilet drain line in the ceiling above my 1st floor bathroom in a very tight spot. "Did a fine job. Very responsive and could have had someone out the same day. Our project was no emergency, so they came the next day. Arrived during the specified 2 hour time window. Took about 3 hours to remove the broken spigot, go to buy a new one and install. Also recommended an upgrade of a water shut off valve that will be a nice addition to prevent future freezing. Only downside is that the overall price was a little high. Upfront by the job pricing is nice if things get complicated, but you end up paying a little more than you should for simple jobs especially when they have to cover costs of getting leads through Angi. Overall, very happy with their work. The guys were friendly and helped me understand a little about how the work was being completed."
