"We're in the process of buying a home and in addition to the regular home inspect, decided to also get a septic and chimney inspection done. Never having owned a chimney, I didn't know who to go to. I called around to a few chimney companies to perform an inspection and one of them referred me to Young's Chimney Service to have the inspection done. What a great recommendation it turned out to be! The day before, they called to verify what time they would be arriving and asked if I would like a 10 minute heads up when he was on his way. Earlier the next day, we had the septic tank inspected which was a less than pleasant experience (they showed up 1 hour and 45 minutes late!). So, needless to say, I wasn't in the greatest mood to be left waiting around for the chimney guy to show up. I called to verify the time and he was right on time! He called 10 minutes ahead of time, just like they said they would, to let us know he was on his way. Then, not only was he on time, but he walks in with a stovepipe hat! It was hilarious! George got right to work and since the chimney also needed to be cleaned in order to be inspected (which we were told about this being a possibility when we made the appointment, so no surprises). He got up on the roof, inspected the roofing around the chimney for any faults, let us know that the mesh wiring on the opening of the chimney wasn't to code and could cause potential problems (which he also fixed) and then gave the chimeny the cleaning of it's lifetime. He was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like a chimney expert by the time he was done. He didn't leave a speck of dirt after the cleaning and was very thorough during the cleaning and then making sure everything was back in it's right spot and that it looked even better than when he got there. I highly recommend Young's Chimney Service and I will definitely be using them as long as we live in a home with a chimeny. They gave us peace of mind that the chimney was in good working order and that we can have fires in our fireplace without any worry. Thank you all so much!!"
