"Tony did a walk through and described how the job was going to get done. Then sent me a contract. He then did the job and left out a vital aspect of the job. Asked why a step was not performed as we discussed during the walk through of job. He stated, well that part was not in the contract. Also, had to call him many times and file a complaint to the BBB. Once the BBB complaint was filed. He came back to complete another portion of the job he never finished. By the way still trying to figure out how to remedy the issue I now have. Due to the vital aspect that was not in the contract. Thank you Tony, real nice!"

His crew was also great They came out the first and did the demo work and did the framing for the new work. the second day they poured the concrete and finished the job. They also did a great job cleaning up and left the job site looking great. You will in no way be disappointed if you hire these guys. Great job Mario."

"We have had a disastrous and extremely frustrating experience with PermaSeal. PermaSeal installed a drain tile system at our house. Months later we realized that they broke a pipe that they installed which resulted in the drain tile system pouring water into our ejector pit and flooding our septic system. There was a huge hole in the pipe, and it was grossly negligent that it was installed this way. This problem flooded our back yard with sewage and caused several thousand dollars worth of damage/costs. When we realized what was happening, they sent out a tech who found the broken pipe and completed the repair.  However, when we asked that they reimburse us for the costs we have had to incur or give us a partial refund to cover them they have completely dropped the ball.  We have called the manager we were told was handling the situation multiple times only to hear that he’s waiting to hear from another manager who’s handling the case. They won’t give us any contact info for that manager and say that they will reach out. It has been a month since we notified them of the problem, and all they can tell us is that “they’ve passed our case on and we’ll hear from someone.”  When you are a potential customer, their communication is excellent and timely. However, once they have your money, it seems they couldn’t care less about if the job was done right or addressing problems. We paid PermaSeal an enormous amount of money for the drain tile system, and thousands more for damage/costs that they caused. We shouldn’t have to wait weeks for a phone call."

"Good work in general; our basement no longer sees water for over 3 years now, which is the most important thing. But there were some real issues: The biggest issue is that USW did not adhere to local electrical codes, and did not arrange for a final inspection of the project. So we didn't find out that it wasn't to code until years later, and now it's a big hassle and minor cost to fix and get the permits. Ask your local gov yourself what you need to do for permits and inspections; don't rely on USW! USW said they would seal any foundation cracks found along the way; they didn't do this until I bugged the warranty dept about it (but they did do it eventually). USW sent someone out for the "annual checkup"... over 2 years after the install. It's a good thing they (eventually) did, because they discovered the backup battery wasn't charging. Now I know to check this stuff better myself. Prices also vary wildly and are kind of negotiable (I'd give more detail but I'm out of space)"

"It didn't. I had a need to build a retaining wall in my front garden. Gallardo's was one of the vendors recommended by Angi. I got an immediate response which was good, requesting more details and, if possible photos of the requested work. I responded, providing details and photos ask requested. I never heard back. I sent a follow up again requesting a quote. I got nothing. Ghosting potential customers is not a good business practice. I do have some future projects in mind but Gallardo's won't even be considered. No way to run a business. You can bet I will chat with friends and family and advise them not to consider Gallardo's even if recommended by Angi."

"1. They broke the water main in two places, covered it up by continuing the landscaping, lied about breaking it, and offered to re-landscape again later for more money. 2. I told them I wanted ground cover around established trees and on the side of the house. Instead they planted grass there. They then planted the ground cover without first killing the new grass. It looks terrible because of all the grass growing around and rising above the new ground cover. 3. There are many, many large bare spots where grass should be growing. I told them about that but instead of seeding or reseeding the bare spots, they covered it up with the fiber blanket that concealed the fact grass seed wasn't planted until after I paid them. 4. They fixed my brick sidewalk but forgot they were to treat it. When I reminded them to do it, they didn't sweep off the dirt and just covered the dirt. 5. Tore pond liner, covered it up, and didn't reattach to new bricks despite many promises."

"The quality of the work was poor, the sod was laid and not rolled out which is preventing the sod from catching and causing the lawn to look uneven, the grass seed/ dirt was spread sporadically over the front lawn without focusing on the bare spots which was the ultimate goal of the seeding. (for treatment/solution to holes in the lawn to promote grass growth in those areas.) Also there was very little grass seeds or dirt spread to back lawn. I brought this to Kevin's attention and he said he would take care of it and that he ran out of dirt, also his response to my calls or e-mails was not timely or not at all. I called and text him on several occasions requesting that he comes to complete the job and he never showed up to complete the job as promised. I also feel the additional cost he charged ($1500) to lay 4 to 5 rolls of sod for 20 ft. x 24 ft. area (480 sq. ft.) , was over priced and he took advantage of me and I am a victim of price gouging. His initial quote he gave me was 3400 (for the seeding, retainer wall removal, aeration, power raking, cutting the grass, plant 1 bush) but I just noticed he has put 3500 on the contract so even in that instance I paid him $100 more than what was agreed upon. The contract that he wanted me to sign was very extensive and "construction focused" and did not address everything we had discussed for this project. It basically was an agreement to ensure payment and cover himself if I did not pay. When I noticed the contract did not list line by line description of the scope of the work I brought that to his attention and asked him to include what the job would intel ( work order) listing what we had talked about. He told me he would bring it when he came to do the job. I didn't receive anything, but he had already came to to start the job. By the time he finally came to start the job I had received a warning from the village due to my grass had grown more then 5 inches waiting for him to come and take care of cutting the grass when he was to start the project. The overall communication and follow up with this company is not good and they do not provide detailed scope of work orders even when requested."
