"The BEST customer service I have EVER received! If you need a new roof or roof repair, THIS is the business you want! Robert and BJ were amazing! They came for a free inspection and walked me through the process. They came when the insurance appraiser did and made sure I was comfortable with the whole process. They stayed in touch with me and were on site the whole time the roof was installed. Their crew was very prompt, professional, neat, and did GREAT work! Robert has a great incentive for referrals, and I was able to benefit from my neighbors using K&R Roofing, as well! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND K& R Roofing and love my beautiful roof!"

"I found True Quality Roofing on Angies list and read their reviews. I reached out and spoke with Jay. About 3 months ago, I called about a possible repair and Jay came out the next day. He inspected the roof and we discussed what needed to be done. I asked when they would be able to schedule it and he told me he would do it while he was there. If that’s not service I don’t know what is! Jay was super professional and courteous... not to mention timely. Thank you so much for what you do. I was concerned about the repair and it was fixed within a day!"

"This is one of the BEST contractors I've Ever worked with in 20 years. Brent and his team were amazing. I interviewed 8 or 9 different roofing and gutter companies . Christian Roofing was the only one that mathematically and correctly addressed the inadequate ventilation on this hip roof. The installation was inmpressive: A crew that's worked together for many years; the Foreman and Job Capitain are the perfect complementary balance of new school / old school as one has a GA Tech degree and the other has 35 years hands on experience; they brought a port-a-potty with the dumpster; they did not use kick boards - which make additional holes- but were roped in; and they left the job site- my home- clean! The synthetic roof felt, shingles, vents were all high quality GAF materials with a long warranty. As important of an investment as a new roof is, I am just so glad I found these guys. Rarely do I write reviews but 'simply had to after a job this well-done!"

"The process was very Professional. Greg came out and evaluated my old shingles roof and gave me a price to install a new metal roof. He was very informative concerning my change over from a shingles roof to a metal roof. Greg explained the step by step installation process and the warranty that was included. After an agreement was confirmed, I was always notified with everything from the material drop off date and time to the actual installation date and any delays.. Will definitely use Southern Signature Solutions in the future for other Home Projects!! Wonderful Customer Service! Thank You Mr. Greg Carter And Crew!! MY NEW ROOF LOOKS GREAT!!"

"I have hired Braswell Construction Group 3 separate times to do work on my house. They replaced my roof on a 5000 sq ft house, they did drywall work in my kitchen on the ceiling, and they also did several household repairs to help me sell my house. I have been dealing with Chris. He is very professional, always comes when he says he will (and from what I have experienced in GA with contractors, that means a lot!), and the pricing has always been fair. He talks through the process of each job and what needs to be done and gives you the pricing upfront. He has played an instrumental role in helping me sell my house. One of Chris's best attributes, he is always so pleasant to deal with. He has found cheaper solutions to problems other contractors were trying to charge me an arm and a leg to fix. I'm very glad I hired him to do all the work that was done. He is trustworthy!"

"We met the representatives of Athens Roofing at the 2014 Spring Atlanta Home Show.  My wife has wanted a " metal" roof for a long time and Athens Roofing represents Classic Metal Roofing Systems, which has a Residential Product Line of Aluminum Roofing Systems.  She liked the Product they presented and we requested a Quote.  They also informed us that this wasn't a "stocked item" and that each system was custom made by the factory, which was no problem for us. Further, that it would be a four to six week installation because each piece of aluminum roofing has to be "custom cut" for installation, which also wasn't a problem. Their Sales Manager, came to our house to inspect the roof and verify what we wanted done.  We were very impressed with his analysis of what needed to be done. He even had a Eagle View Technologies Diagram and Photograph of our house's roof.   He left use with several Styles of Roof shingles and colors for our selection and a 26-page CMRS "Homeowner's Guide To Roofing.  On April 21, 2014, he returned to present the Quote, which we accepted.  He explained that he would place the order with the factory and let us know when we might expect the installation to begin.  The installation team came to the house and inspected the house and verified exactly what was to be done.  Installation began in the last week of July and was completed the week after Labor Day.  One factor that contributed to the long installation period was that our house's total roof area is 3,864 <br /> sq. ft, which includes three bay windows, five dormers, an eyebrow window, two door overhangs, all of which required special "cutting" for installation.  Also there was a shed and two half-sheds included <br /> In closing, I would like to add that all the personnel of Athens Roofing were courteous and friendly and that we are very satisfied with our new "lifetime" aluminum roof.  My wife is having designed a 9 ft. x 19 ft. patio structure, which will also have the same roofing installed by Athens Roofing. <br />"

"Our house was a victim of the great hailstorm of 2017. We filed a claim and called Trademark Contractors. Sam Aldridge came out and handled everything. It was very obvious they are a company that operates with the highest levels of integrity and that is what means the most to me. (One of his first questions was "are you prepared to pay the deductible" whereas others were like [looking around shiftily]"we can just put a sign in your hard ... wink wink"]). Sam was always on time for appointments and always responded within a couple of hours to calls or texts. He is extremely knowledgeable of the process and kept us well-informed at all stages. Crews were excellent. We have a large house (4600+ sqft) but the roof was done in a day and a half. Our original insurance estimate missed a number of vital things and Sam handled "proving" to the insurance company what we needed. (For example, the gutters were quoted using standard guttering but we have Leafgard gutters. The original quote proposed re-using the glass on the skylights...crazy right? and he handled getting a letter explaining that the seals required full replacement.) Because of the storm, Trademark (and a lot of other vendors) were incredibly busy (our neighborhood was a "showroom for roofing companies") but we were taken care of very well. We would definitely use again. Seth"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Good Hope, GA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
