"Mr. Garrett called to confirn the initial appointment, and arrived on time. Since I was not familier with the company, I decided to give them a try. They arrived on time for the start of work, and did not stop until the concrete was laid. They still have to return to remove the forms, as they cannot be removed until the concrete cures. They cleaned up and were very professional in every way. I will use them again. And would recommend them to others. EXCELLENT"

"It was a HUGE project with a lot of different aspects. Retaining wall, irrigation system, sod, lake dredging, tree removal, fencing and fill dirt to level yard. They were always on time but the project took a lot longer than expected. However we had a set price and Jarvis, the owner, stayed with it until I was satisfied. Couldn't ask for a more respectful pleasant crew."

FAQs for concrete delivery projects in Goodwater, AL

The amount of concrete you need varies by project. One 80lb bag covers an area of about 2 square feet, for a slab 4 inches thick. Two 60lb bags of concrete cover an area of about 2 square feet for a slab that is 6 inches thick.

A truckload of concrete can usually hold a maximum of 10 cubic yards.

The cost of concrete per cubic yard depends on which brand you purchase, but usually costs about $110 for bags.

It takes about 41 bags of concrete to fill a cubic yard. Always plan to buy a few bags more than the exact required amount in case of mistakes.

To calculate the amount of concrete you need for a slab, you should find the cubic yardage of the area you will be filling. Just follow these steps:

  1. Measure the area in feet.

  2. Multiply length by width, and then by thickness.

  3. Divide the resulting number by 27 to find cubic yards.
