"Axel is an expert. Listen to him on the exact paint to use. He did our kitchen cabinets, which look new. They had a difficult rubberized antiqued finish and he conquered it. He will only do a job the right way. Also painted our difficult den and its beautiful."

"I had two rooms that needed to be repainted. I tried to do it myself but quickly realized I was out of my depth since I know nothing about what to do with peeling paint on the ceiling and walls. So, I decided to try Angi's list since I know the contractors are vetted. Abraham was the first to call after I submitted my project. He quickly set up a time for a quote the next day. I was satisfied with the amount and happy he was able to adjust to my schedule as I work full time. The "mudding" and painting only took two days. The results were fantastic. It's so satisfying to look up at my ceiling and not see peeling paint here, there and everywhere. Really, it's like a brand new room. Thank you Abraham and company for the good job! I look forward to more painting projects in the future as my little 1958 house needs a little help."

"Overall the painting looked as though a novice did it. There was paint on the floorboards and door trimming. What's worst, is there was paint on my furniture, which the painter advised I was okay with leaving in the room. Not satisfied.

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Goose Creek, SC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
