"Dave, the man who did the work, was very knowledgeable regarding what needed to be done to correct the shower water leak problem. He removed some of the shower wall tiles and found water had damaged a small section of the water resistant drywall to which those ceramic tiles were attached. He replaced that damaged section with cement board and then attached new ceramic tiles. I had decided to also replace the shower door and Dave did that work. Dave also replaced a separate section of regular drywall adjacent to the shower door that was damaged. Dave also quickly replaced a damaged GFCI outlet. Dave has a pleasant personality. He always kept me well informed about what he was doing. He did a good job cleaning the work site after he finished."

She listened to what we thought we wanted and helped us find the right solution. No other sales rep we met with offered that customer service. "Wires were a mess on one of our garage door sensors, which was the immediate problem, and he fixed that in no time flat. Then he turned to replacing the decrepit sensor on the other side, which was hanging by a thread, with a secure new one with good wire connections. Then he checked out the rest of the system and greased the tracks on the garage doors, so that instead of sounding like a train is passing through the house, you can barely notice them. All this in about a half hour or less.

"I found this company on Angie’s list. My homeowners association wrote me up to have my gutters and my siding cleaned. Wesley did all of the above well with great professionalism on a very hot day. He also washed my front sidewalk and stoop. I advised him that my patio door screen was off the tracks and he adjusted the door, inspected the rollers and greased them and the track, cleaned and greased the tracks and tested the working of the door thoroughly. He will return to wash, repair and seal the fence and wash the patio. Great, hardworking young guy."

"It was a pleasure to work with Jim Hughes who is the owner of Mailbox Xpress.  He responded quickly with a phone call to an email that I had sent him.  My mail box pole had rotted away and fallen over so I did not have a mail box.  A neighbor said that if I bought all the materials he would install it for me so I watched a UTube video on mailbox installation and headed to Loews to purchase all that I needed.  After stops at Loews, Home Depot and a local hardware store it was evident that I was not going to find the quality or even the materials that I was looking for so I decided to search Angie's List for mail box repair.  They made it difficult to find Jim's company but I am glad that I looked a little deeper.  Jim did an excellent job.  He took the time to answer my questions, offer suggestions and install just what I needed.  Due to the fact that I had no mailbox he made my job a priority and came the very next day. He even came back the following day to install numbers on the pole.  The finished product is wonderful and has a lot of curb appeal along with functionality.  I am very pleased and recommend Jim to anyone needing a mailbox. I wish Angie's List would unblock his listing.  He takes pride in his work and really goes the extra mile to please his customers.

"Excellent experience.  The estimate was very detailed, and more than competitive.  I had time constraints, that Mr Coulter and crew accommodated at no additional cost.  Since they painted the interior of the entire house, there was extensive wall preparation needed in several rooms (due to some very old wall paper removal), and their attention to detail ensured a consistent quality throughout the house.
I wanted the job done correctly--this was the right contractor. 
The crew was professional, clean, and very pleasant individuals to have in my home for a week.  They were extremely detailed -- the quality of work showed an impressive sense of pride.  They went through at the end of each day carefully looking for any flaws, drips, etc., immediately  correcting any issues (there might have been a drop or two -- they work meticulously to avoid mistakes).
Essentially, when they were done, my house looked amazing--better than expected.

"This builder was the best contracted service that we ever got.
We had put in for a permit to install a "retractable awning" over our deck and were very disappointed when it was turned down by the Planning committee. Little did we know then that that was the best thing that could have happened.
We then learned that we could put up a permanent roof over the deck,  We went to "Angies list" and read the reviews of the various contractors and once that was done, we contacted Marshall Painter of Great American Log Homes  and he came the same day and looked at the project and brought us a drawing and a price the next day.
Actually his price was not that much more for a permanent roof than what other companies wanted for a "roll out awning", and it was custom built to fit and match the deck.
The work was professional, on time, and the price was very reasonable .
We are very pleased with the way it turned out, and feel lucky to have chosen the right man for the job.
Not only is Marshall an excellent and honest builder, he turned out to be a wonderful friend too.
