He listened to my request and came up with a design I love. Once I made a decision, then it took a week to make and a day to install. I appreciate the high quality work that went into fabrication, parts used, and the installation of this gate. The next day, Jim ran the needed tests, checked the operation of the system, and explained how to operate the gate including any challenges that might arise. I am receiving many compliments for this gate from my neighbors and passerby’s. The operation is super quiet and smooth. I appreciate the talent and knowledge that went into the making of this gate and the fact that I received a custom gate for a fraction of the estimated costs other companies quoted for a plain gate. "Contacted Stellar Construction to replace original decking with a two tier deck with cover and a patio. Micah was very responsive, walked me through several options and we decided on the overall design and layout. First came the demolition of the old decking, then the patio and finally got to the deck. There was some extensive rot around the window and door leading to the deck, so after a quick consult the Stellar crew pulled out the rot, fixed that side or the house and then installed the decking. Keep in mind this is the middle of winter and they are working in the rain and at one point snow. Extremely pleased with the final outcome and have already BBQ'ed twice (in February). The Stellar crew were all friendly and pleasant to interact with. I work at home, so it was nice to see them everyday and watch the process. Highly recommended."

"This is the second time I hired them since they did a good job the first time when I had my deck replaced with pavers. The problem I have with them is that the workers do not know how to plant plants. several of the of plants died. I had to replant at least 5 plants. When I was replanting (one blew out of its hole on a windy day) I found that they only dug the holes just big enough for the plant to fit then plopped the plant in. They were very sickly looking until I replanted. Also, a friend of mine just recently used them to re-do pavers, she had her dogs come in stinking of poo. She then found a spot behind her shed where one of the workers pooped and left their wipes right there. They could have at least buried it or put it in a bag to put in the garbage. Needless to say it ended up being a job of cleaning 3 dogs and the mess itself."

"Rick came in to my house late last year to check on what needs to be done. Later, over the phone, he quoted $1,450 with Angie's List discount - for the above mentioned work - plus $650 for painting. His quote was the most expensive one but he seemed to be professional and had good reviews on Angie's List, hence I decided to hire him. We had to reschedule the work as weather did not permit or he was busy with other work. He showed up on time on the day of work. After he removed the old trims, he suggested not to install z-flashing to avoid new cuts on the siding. He subtracted $300 for the z-flashing with a new total of $1,150 for the job. He applied Grace Vycor Plus window flashing tape on the siding starting from the bottom, then sides, and then to the top of each window. Then, he added 1x3 primed cedar trims around the windows and applied caulk between siding and trim as well as between trim and window frame. He did not paint as he apparently subcontracts painting jobs. He guaranteed his work and said he would come back if any water intrusion issues are seen. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend his work.
