"The work I got for the value was great. Other contractors wanted to charge $750 or more for this small repair I needed. These guys only charge what they think is fair for the amount and type of labor they do. I paid less than half what everyone else was going to charge me. I highly recommend them to anyone."

"Some roofers we called didn't return our call - I guess the project was too small. Others we talked to seemed to want to expand the project into something much bigger, and couldn't give us a quote or a schedule for starting work. All I needed was a very small repair to a minor problem that was causing the insurance company to cancel our coverage. Ray came and gave me a quote right away, and said his team could add the project to some others he had scheduled for the very next day. That was perfect timing! We were out all day, but when we returned the roof was fixed as promised. He also painted a small piece of metal roof that was rusting while he was up there. That was perfect. The insurance company was satisfied and the problem was solved."

"These guys were nothing short of amazing. My laundry room was just a shed. They completely transformed the entire room. I almost forgot it was my home when they were done! They are fast and very professional. Our shop was an old wooden shop that needed to be wrapped. These guys wrapped it within days. Even coming in on their day off to make sure the last few bells and whistles were complete. Weve gotten so many compliments on both jobs! Can someone say curb appeal ? very satisfied and highly recommended! I'll have them back for future jobs!"

"I phoned Ed Chachere to get an estimate on the job above.  He was very professional over the phone inquiring in detail about the services I wanted performed.  He explained to me that he would like to do some research prior to giving an estimate and recommending how to proceed.   He kept me informed every step of the way and clearly did his research. <br /> Once we decided to proceed, Mr. Cachere continued to inform me about project details daily.  His precision to detail and work ethic is evident in his carpentry.  Several other professionals including a landscaper and home inspector have commented on how well built the pergola is and what a craftsman Mr. Chachere is.  I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Chachere to anyone wanting carpentry work performed.  In fact, because Mr. Chachere has done such beautiful work thus far, I am planning to use his services for other projects in our house. <br />"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Grand Coteau, LA

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
