"I was the board President of our home owner's association and the board reviewed all bids and interviewed all bidders. We were most impressed with Mr. Anderson's knowledge regarding the best type of shingle to use. He brought in a supplier that he uses to our board meeting and they were both very helpful. The job went very well. We were most impressed with Thor and his roofers as they showed up daily and worked long days (weather permitting). Thor made sure dumpsters arrived for the tear off and that roofing materials were delivered on a regular basis. He worked well with the board and safety was his first concern. The board worked with Thor on a weekly basis we informed each home owner with exact dates as to when Thor's crew would be working on their roof. Every aspect of the job went smooth and it was a pleasure to work with Mr. Anderson. He is a man of integrity, professional and I would hire him again. There were just two small issues that were corrected right away when they performed the roof inspection. Homeowners were very happy and we had no complaints. He had one of his workers walk the grounds to make sure all roofing material and roofing nails were picked up after each roof was completed. Thor advised the board of the best roofing materials. "I got home on a Saturday evening to discover a water stains on an upstairs bedroom, along with the sound of drips. Looking at the back of the house I saw a massive amount of ice overhanging the roof. Opening a hole in the ceiling showed the leak around a plumbing vent. I slowed the leak as much as possible, then contacted VanVleet and left a message around 8 at night. I got a call from Chris within the hour. He gave me an hourly rate along with a time estimate and said that a crew would be available at noon the next day (Sunday). <br /> Chris called the next morning around 10 am and said the crew was ahead of schedule and on their way. Jason and Jeremiah arrived a few minutes later, set up the equipment and got started. They used a steam-based removal process which left the roof clean with no physical damage, breaking the ice into large chunks.  An above-ground pool and air conditioning unit are near the house and I needed to sign a waiver freeing the crew from liability of damage due to falling ice. However, even with the damage waiver, the crew took great care in protecting pool and A/C unit with a combination of plywood panels and good judgement. Neither the pool nor A/C was damaged.  <br /> The entire job was completed by late afternoon and we were only charged for actual time worked. This process is not inexpensive and the hourly rate was a bit of a shock at first. However, this was not a "hammer-and-chisel" operation. it was much safer, more effective, and less damaging than any other method I know of. We were able to get the roof clean and the leak stopped within about 12 hours of my first phone call, minimizing water damage inside the house.  <br /> Prompt, professional, and attentive is hard to find, sometimes at any price. I am impressed and highly recommend VanVleet for ice removal. <br />"
