"I found this business through Angi's List and theirs was 1 of 4 estimates that I got. Their estimate was the lowest of the 4 and I went about trying to find a reason not to choose them. Materials and warranties quoted were the same or comparable to the other quotes we received. I checked bbb.org and they were a BBB Accredited Business with an A- rating. The BBB's "Reason for the Rating" was for "Length of time business has been operating" (about 1 year). There were no complaints listed and many 5-star reviews. When we accepted the quote, we were told that installation would be about 6 weeks out, which is what it turned out to be. Materials and a dumpster were delivered on a Wednesday and the installation crew arrived about 7:30am the next day. They got right to work laying down tarps and preparing to strip off our old shingles (they even laid tarps over part of our in-ground pool to prevent debris from falling in). The roof installation was completed, a thorough clean-up performed and the roofing crew left about 5:30pm. The dumpster was removed the next morning. The gutter installation was completed by a separate crew 1 week later. We couldn't be happier with the job they did and highly recommend Skyline Exteriors."

"My sales consultant Michael Belfer was amazing! He listened without interrupting; he didn't try to push me like other companies I met with for an estimate. He followed up on every detail. He showed up at my home the day of the installation more than once to check on every thing. He answered texts and phone calls from me promptly and courteously. He sent me before and after photos of my home. He followed up afterwards to make sure a couple errors on the job were corrected. He was friendly, kind, and fun to work with. He promised to follow up with me once he gets more info on a question I asked him for which he wasn't sure of the answer. He is a shining example of what a salesperson should be like. It was a great relief to me not to be lied to or pushed into something or have part of the job left undone like two previous roofing experiences I have had in the past. "I chose Lake Michigan Construction for a full tear off and replacement of my residential roof. I’m very happy with decision to hire them as the contractor. LMC is a Holland based, family owned, business run by Kari and Al Noyola. Both of them are actively involved in the process from quote through installation. When doing advance research, I found that their online reviews and Better Business Bureau ratings are excellent. During the initial phase Kari and Al provided a detailed quote for scope of work including labor and a completely specified materials list. They took all the time I needed to understand the various roofing materials and products and how they integrate to provide a long lasting water proof roofing system. For material estimating measurements they use a software package called “EagleView” which was very accurate when I compared it to my original blueprint dimensions. It gave me confidence to know that the amount of material specified was accurately computed and would be on the job site when needed. Their quote and statement of work was clear, detailed, and transparent. The time they spent with me during the quoting phase left me confident they would be a reliable contractor and use quality materials for my project. The installation crew arrived on time every day and worked consistently all day to complete their tasks. My project used GAF roofing products and all the workmanship and installation techniques used by the crew were diligently performed to look visually appealing and to meet the installation specifications necessary to assure the manufacturer’s extended warranty was valid. My home’s siding, windows, and foundation plantings were carefully covered to prevent any damage. At the end of each day the crew removed all tear off debris and materials before leaving the site. Each night any unfinished roof work was covered and sealed to protect the house in the event of unexpected rain. The owner, Al Noyola, was actively on site several times throughout each work day to assure everything was running well and the crew had everything they needed. At the end of the project the crew left everything neat, clean, and looking great. My home also needed some flashing repair/replacement and that work was done in a neat attractive manner adding to the visual appeal of the finished project. The roofing industry has a reputation of unreliable contractors so I was extremely concerned when looking for a reliable supplier. I’m really happy I found and selected LMC for my project and very satisfied with the entire process of working with LMC. There were no unpleasant surprises throughout the project and they provided me with a beautiful new roof. I strongly recommend you talk with them about your roofing project."
