"Time consuming but worth it. They understood Ann Arbor's local ordinances better than any other bidder, and were the most competitive bidder (if not by much, but they still were the lowest bidder). They made multiple trips to ensure the estimate was accurate and took pains to find a fencing solution that would comply with Ann Arbor's convoluted rules, yet be both functional and aesthetic. Multiple install trips as well, to deal with tree removal issues and weather problems. Final installed fence is beautiful. We likely will follow up because the locks installed on the two gates installed are proving difficult to manage, but I fully expect this issue to be resolved satisfactorily. (We have not yet contacted them about this, so it's not their fault that this issue remains unresolved - it's been a complicated year for us and, having worked with them, we trust in their ability to resolve this concern later. If we are wrong about this, we'll follow up on our review.) We found Upright Fence through Angie's List, and it was a good recommendation. We would do it all again exactly as it happened if given the option. We are so relieved to have the old, collapsing wooden fence removed and a new, vinyl fence - properly installed along the lot boundaries. Our thanks to the Upright team...we can understand why they've been in business so long. Experience does indeed count for something."

"Marc did an excellent job with replacing our front driveway gate. He is extremely professional and courteous, as well as skilled with his work. He removed the old gate (which was a mess) and made sure that the new beautifully fabricated gate fit perfectly. I will call him again when we are ready to replace all of the fencing."

We love the color, style, and the quality of work plus the quality of the sales and installation teams. </p> <p>Ken was our salesman and did an exceptional job of explaining the benefits of using their fencing and provided a reasonable estimate in comparison to other companies we had contacted. They were friendly, thoughtful and let us know at the end of the first day when they would be returning. It is a very large backyard and took 2 days for the fence to be installed and then a few hours a third day installing the gates and post caps. When the guys realized on the second day that where we wanted to end the fence on the one side would not look right, they promptly asked us about our opinion and we heard more than one time and quot;you're the customer, whatever you wantand quot;. We ended up moving the one side back a few feet and Ken adjusted the pricing - no hassles. After the job was completed, we noticed that we didn't get the post caps that we had originally wanted and called Ken who said and quot;No problem, we will send someone out to take care of it right awayand quot;. And that is EXACTLY what happened. We have a beautiful fenced in backyard and a very pleasant experience with Rafab and would advise anyone needing a fence to call them for a truly quality experience from start to finish.</p> <br />"

"I was told that they are in Southwest Detroit and that I should look for someone in my own area (I'm 20-25 miles from there). It seems this is the way it goes with Angie's List. All the contractors are too busy or have very small service areas. I will probably go back to using other ways to find contractors, so I can find someone who is available to do the work."

"Owner Mark Hajec with his company Mustang Fence is upfront, personable and professional, provides top notch service with total quality, exceeded our expectations, is honest and reasonably priced.  Mustang Fence has done exactly what they said they'd do, for the price they quoted (saving us a lot of money) and exactly in the time frames they provided.  It's been a joy to work with Mark for the fencing that we've put in.  We highly recommend Mark and Mustang Fence.  <br /> Two years ago, when we needed a fenced in backyard for our dogs, Mark suggested that we put in a black fence with gates for our backyard and he was exactly right - the fencing blends in perfectly with our yard and foliage.  It looks fantastic.   <br /> This year we were having problems with our dogs running along a section of the fence and getting into wild barking fits with our neighbors dogs.  The racket was unbearable and occurred many times per day.  I talked with Mark and asked for suggestions and help.  He suggested a simple inexpensive opaque screen along that section instead of spending a lot of money on a permanent privacy fence which I had thought would be the way to go.  Mark was absolutely right, the opaque screen works perfectly since the dogs can no longer see each other.  The barking issue was solved.  Doing it this way saved us close to a thousand dollars.   <br /> This is our first review and we have been delighted with the quality and service from Mustang Fence. <br />"

"due to permit being ready sooner than expected our fence was installed sooner than planned. However, the installation crew hit our cable line which resulted in a loss of cable and calls to the cable company and wait time to repair. They also hit our electric line which resulted in (a month later) random loss of power to our house. DTE explained that the line was nicked during installation and the insulation in the line slowly starts to deteriorate causing random outages until the final outage which resulted in them digging up our yard to replace the line with a new line. Finally have full power after 2 days. Not sure if I would hire again. 1) I won't ever need another fence 2) I am not sure how qualified the crew was."

"I called them back in March for the estimate, however because we had to go through the neighborhood association and make some changes to the proposal the fence was not installed until July. They installed a very nice aluminum fence and they did a good job. I felt that the price was reasonable for the work."

"Mike is incredible, both as a person and as a contractor. It seems that most people that go through a big remodeling project have complaints about their contractor and subs. Despite facing many unexpected issues during the remodel (unexpected by us, having never done a remodel, but not as unexpected to Mike), working with Mike was a great experience. He is very conscientious, patient, and reliable. He has a ton of experience and is highly skilled. We give him our highest possible recommendation. In addition to the remodeling work, he also did masonry work. Again, great work. I have not listed a cost of services since I am not sure of a total, and it was a long project that evolved and expanded as we went. Mike was always great about giving cost estimates and his charges were probably less than they should be for the quality of work he provides."
