Their initial services include a plan to complete landscaping along the back fence to eliminate a grass free and barren area that became a frustrating, dirty and potentially muddy area. "We knew we had a couple of leaks in our lawn sprinkler system, so we purchased a Tune-up with Hendco. Tune-up was scheduled for 2pm on a Thursday, he showed up at 3pm. He identified exactly where the leaks were and said he could fix them. We setup the appointment for repairs for the following day, Friday at 10am. Sometime after noon, he called and said he wouldn't be able to make it and asked to reschedule for the next Tuesday at 10am. He and his technician showed up at 2:30pm. While Steve was a nice enough guy, he has a real problem with time management. Price was within reason, but I won't use him again and can't recommend him either."

ONCE I MET WITH STEVE AND THE PROJECT WAS DISCUSSED HE KEPT IN TOUCH WITH ME EXPLAINING ANY DELAYS THAT OCCURRED SUCH AS WEATHER, ETC.  WHEN THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IT LOOKED GREAT.  HE IS STILL STAYING IN TOUCH AS A COUPLE OF TREES MAY NOT MAKE IT.  HE HAS PROMISED IF THEY DO NOT MAKE IT HE WILL REPLACE IN THE FALL AS IT IS TOO HOT CURRENTLY.  i WOULD DO BUSINESS WITH STEVE IN THE FUTURE

"I have a retaining wall along my driveway that is made of 6" landscape timbers.  The wall was about 20 years old and was decaying.  Heavy rains in June of 2010 washed out part of the wall and I had American Irrigation give me a bid to do the washed out part in July of 2010.  The owner, Kingsly Sutch, gave me a bid of $3,000.00 and he did some additional drain work for me around my patio and pool area.  The job was done in a timely manner and I did not have to pay him anything down.  I haven't had any problems with that section of the retaining wall.I July of 2011, I called Kingsly again and got an estimate to do the other part of the retaining wall (which was much longer) and a garden/planter area along side the opposite side of the drive.  The bid was $7,500.00 and, again, I wasn't required to put up a down payment.  When the job was finished, Kingsly was right there to collect and gave me a 3-year warranty.
Earlier this year, I noticed a few of the landscape ties along the main part of the driveway were splitting and bowing up.  I called Kingsly around August 7, 2012, and explained the situation to him.  He said he would come by and check it out.  3 weeks later I had never heard from him, so I called again.  I got the answering machine and left a message on August 28, 2012, asking him to call me.  I didn't receive a call back from him and left another message on August 31, 2012.  Again, I received no reply. 
I looked at his company on the Better Business Bureau's website and found that he has a D rating.  According to the BBB account, American Irrigation & Landscaping was using the logo of the BBB on its website without the consent of the BBB and has now stopped.  The business also has had 3 claims in the last year which were all resolved and all concerned warranty work.
Overall, American Irrigation did a fairly good job, but I am very dissatisfied with the service after the sale, especially in view of the amount of money I spent.  My area has been in a drought for the past 2 years so we haven't had enough rain to test the integrity of the retaining wall.  But, due to Kingsly's poor performance on the follow up of my warranty, I have concerns that he won't show up if a larger problem occurs."
