"We had just purchased a house in Williams Bay and the landscaping left much to be desired. We needed especially to do something with the side, which was just a muddy slope with little landscaping. The front was passable, but not inspiring. Our designer presented us with a design that built a stone wall on the slope side, with a new sidewalk and astilbe garden running along the walk. He also suggested relocating the front walk away from the front of the house in a curve toward the driveway, allowing a small boxwood garden in front of the house and a more attractive presentation. As a separator from the house next door, he suggested a line of plants (hostas and geraniums), favoring plants that prefer shade and are deer resistant (since the location has both of those issues). He kept as much of what we had as fit the design and we added a number of features that made the presentation much more attractive. All in all a great job.

"I really checked them out. They are an amazing company. Just the other day we signed the contract, stuff was ordered and the sales person came back and introduced me to the project manager. They pull all the permits. They had an ad in the newspaper for like 50% off materials or something. They are audited by the Better Business Bureau and they are not just making up a price and giving you 50% off like some companies do. When they say they are giving you a discount it is off the price that they would have charged just a month before. They bring in what the windows are going to look like and stuff like that on the enclosed thing. It's really impressed me so far. The price I would say is very reasonable. We even decided to make a room larger because we were so impressed with the company and their pricing."

"We called Bob to do an estimate on our roof. He explained that he had jobs lined up to be completed before ours, but if we sprang a leak, he would come and tarp it immediately. Fortunately, that didn't happen. As it was July, Bob and his helper showed up quite early in the morning to begin work. Bob explained his work schedule, meaning he would take off in the worst of the afternoon heat and return in the evening to continue. They draped tarps around the house to catch errant nails and shingles as they tore off the old roof. We learned that there are certain detailed tasks that Bob does himself, like flashing around a chimney. He is very particular about the quality of his work which we consider a excellent trait in a workman. The roof was completed in a matter of days and the yard was cleaned up. Our roof looks great and we have had compliments from so many of our neighbors. We will definitely call him again!

"Ryan came over to give me an estimate and was really great. Another company had tried to upsell me and tell me I needed a whole new drain tile system, but Ryan, probably costing himself money, assured me that a new sump pump would solve the problem for a fraction of the cost.
After that, communication was an issue. After I sent in my deposit, nobody got back to me about when the job would happen. Even after they cashed my check, I had to call three days later and get the information myself. And even then, I was just told a couple of days as a range. Every piece of information, be it getting the final estimate, booking the job, or getting the date for the job, I had to initiate contact every time. It was kind of like pulling teeth.
When the crew did come, they worked Friday for about four hours and then left, saying they would finish the job Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. They didn't come back at all that weekend and none of my phone calls or messages were returned. It was extremely frustrating. I understand that things come up and appointments are missed, but to not call and let me know and make me wait around my house all weekend was totally unprofessional.
However, when they did finally come back on Monday, they got the job done and it looked great. They did a very professional job and they worked their a**** off. I really appreciate that. The communication problems were frustrating, but the job itself, when completed, was excellent.

"excellent, when problems arose with the old sink and the weight of the tile on the countertop, they reinforced the cabinet walls for just the cost of materials. Even with the extra repairs they still finished the job ahead of schedule, and on budget. The workers were very friendly and professional, and were quick to answer any questions that I had. I am having them come back in the spring to build a flagstone patio and firepit in my back yard."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Hamburg, IL

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
