"Excellent workmanship! I have used them on several occasions and have been very pleased with their response and job quality. Local business and trustworthy workers. I recommend them highly and their results have been outstanding! "
Bormann Brothers only uses one experienced crew. If you read our reviews they are all positive. If you hire us, you’re getting the same crew that did the work from the review. You get the A-Team every time. You don’t have to worry about getting a C team like other bigger companies.
Nick and Steve Bormann started the company in 1997. They’re still at the job site every morning!

"We spent all summer talking with siding contractors. All of them disappointed us for various reasons (costs, games, delays). We finally contacted Lakewoods Remodeling, and we are very glad we did. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they did not play games. They started when they said they would start. They finished when they said they would finish. They used high quality materials. They did high quality work. They showed concern for making everything look good (and it does). To summarize, the value they provided was excellent. We would definitely use them again, and we highly recommend them."

"The crew arrived a little later than expected but that did not bother me. I had told them I’d be here all day. They went right to work setting up their ladders and. scaffolding.. the material seemed high quality The owner Tom recommended larger siding matched color downspouts and I am glad he did.The job is finished and looks great."

FAQs for natural slate roofing repair projects in Hamburg, MN

If more than 30% of your slate roof is damaged, it's time to consider a full replacement. This will prevent further deterioration and avoid costly recurring repairs. A professional slate inspection (costing between $130 and $360) can confirm whether repairs are sufficient or if a full roof replacement is the better option.

A slate roof can last anywhere from 60 to 150 years, depending on factors like installation quality, regular maintenance and repairs, and local weather conditions. Compared to materials like clay and concrete, which often last around 50 years, a well-maintained slate roof offers superior longevity, durability, and long-lasting aesthetic appeal.

Yes, you can use temporary patch solutions, such as roofing cement or patchwork, to provide immediate relief for minor leaks or underlayment issues observed from inside your home. However, these provisional fixes do not replace the need for a permanent, professional exterior repair, which is necessary to ensure the long-term integrity and weather resistance of your slate roof.
