They consulted with me on construction day, and completed the $2900 job nicely in 2 days. Being pleased with their work, I asked for help designing a landscape project along a 50 foot stone wall. That $2200 job was also done very well in one day. When issues arose, Lily handled them like a boss. I really appreciated her calling me directly to offer a solution. Lily was very kind and highly professional, which makes a huge difference with me. I am posting this review because I want people to know they can trust lily and her team to do the right thing. "I can't say enough how much I LOVE Jose, Kevin and the crew with JK Gardening! These guys go above and beyond. I love how Jose has eye for the littlest details and he always one step ahead of me with something that needs his attention on, he already thought it and has solution on how get it done. I originally hire Jose a while back where he did retainer wall and did beautiful job so I knew he was capable of doing great work with my next project. My front stairs were never right they little wonky. When I approach Jose and Kevin about new design idea from my front steps and walkway they were on it and together we came up with show stop walking way and stairs. It didn't stop there. My driveway was always a "hot mess" with sump pump kind in middle of driveway. Once again Jose, Kevin and I came with up an design idea for the driveway and they delivered. "Troy and the Superior Landscaping crew were FABULOUS from the very first phone call to finish!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I got estimates from multiple places for French Drain install for our backyard that would oversaturate with water (due to design flaw on new build home property) and not only was Superior Landscaping most competitively priced, Troy was totally on the ball with getting the estimate to us right away and even calling to check in with us; whereas it took so long and I had to place multiple calls to get calls returned from other companies! Superior Landscaping is a rare gem when it comes to customer service I was so impressed with how much better Troy and Superior Landscaping was from the rest! Don't waste your time calling around other places like I did (I've done the work for you!) Superior Landscaping can be your one and only call and you will be so happy you did! So happy we'll be able to have a usable yard to play in when it's finally warm again! (It was practically a moat with small pond pockets before the French Drain install). "Brian and his crew were absolutely incredible. We just moved into a home in Takoma Park, MD and our front and back yard were in need of some major work. The backyard was a complete jungle. It was extremely overgrown with weeds, brush, poison ivy, and dead/unattractive trees. Brian's crew manually dug out everything and removed all of the dead trees as well as their roots. They also cut back a ton of bamboo and then laid mulch down in the entire yard. Brian and his crew were able to start within days after getting the final quote. Brian is an extremely reasonable, knowledgable, and caring person. In addition to his landscaping knowledge, he is also a "master gardener." We had no clue about what to do next, so he offered to draw out some sketches of designs (free of charge) as well as ideas for plants and flowers that would be suitable for our particular yard. I took this sketch with me to the nursery yesterday and it was very helpful! I would highly recommend using Yard by Yard if you're searching for a landscaping company that you can trust will do a fantastic job!"

"This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure.
