The p-trap under my bathroom sink had corrosion and when I took it off to replace with a PVC trap, I noticed the line coming from the wall was also heavily corroded and I could no longer join the parts. So I figured I needed a plumber with more skills so I bought this Big Deal. 

Once scheduled after all of the cold and leaks around town, Bill and another gentleman arrived on time yesterday.  They looked at the issue, agreed that the older connecting pipe could likely be salvaged once they cut off the corroded part so they sawed it off, cleaned the buildup of rust and dirt (???) out, used my supplied rubber connector, did other stuff under the sink, then tested the water flow, drainage and made sure there were no leaks.

They also fixed the drainage for the tub in the same bathroom.

All included for no extra charge.
