"Alex was friendly and provided the lowest bid, but the project had significant compliance and quality issues. A 5-day estimate stretched to 8; while I prioritized quality over speed, the final stages felt rushed and lacked transparency. Most concerningly, the top step was installed at an 8.5? rise, violating Oregon code. Alex admitted he knew it was out of code but did not disclose this until we pointed it out. The resolution process was defensive and difficult. While early work was careful, quality declined on the final day. Alex recommended leaving one step sloped, then later criticized the look of his own recommendation. I had to personally shim and level a tread myself after he left. Additionally, the railing was cut short and visibly patched, and our hallway baseboards were discarded without consultation. To his credit, Alex offered to return for finishing work the next day. However, the lack of transparency regarding code and the inconsistent finish were disappointing."

"Pedro and his crew were prompt, easy to work with, and completed a small but labor intensive cedar sidewall shingle installation. Two other ANGI recommended contractors didn't want to be bothered with this small two-day job, but were more than willing to bid on other on-site work that I wasn't requesting. I would hire Campos Construction again if and when the need arises. WILL REDO THIS REVIEW AFTER A NUMBER OF ISSUES WITH THE INSTALLATION ARE CORRECTED OR DEALT WITH. COULD NOT SEE THEM UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY IN THE DAYLIGHT."

This spring I had the entire ground floor redone--it was gutted down to the studs in places and redone into new spaces for a kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room. Charles has great vision -- he can see a space and visualize solutions. I had other bidders, who were stumped as to what to do with the space. Charles had no hesitation and designed a space that is absolutely stunning and exactly what I had in mind. He hires really high quality subs who have long term relationships with him. He insists on quality work and does not cut corners. The electrical, cabinetry, tile and wood floor work were done by specialists who are absolute craftsmen. This was a 4 month project that just wrapped up a few days ago. I highly recommend Charles -- he doesn't have a slick website but is authentic, and completes what he says he will, when he says he will, with quality. My new space is so lovely."
