"We called First Call Plumbing based on our first good experience with the provider.  I rated punctuality as B because the main office mismanaged my first appointment.  On the second appointment, I was given an estimate of $85/hour for 2 hours of work. On the day of the service, Todd arrived at 8am and started work at 8:10. Pace of work was moderate but he entertained at least one phone call during work and he arrived with only one hose for the two water heaters that needed to be drained. I provided another hose so draining could be done in parallel. Work was completed at 10:10. The bill was written for 2.5 hours of work + parts. I objected to the extra half hour charge. I was told that the additional ten minutes was rounded up to the next half hour. I pointed out that he started work at 8:10 and he took a phone call so he only worked for 2 hours. I was told "it is what it is". I said that I expected more from First Call, I was told "Do you know how difficult it is to run a business with workman's comp and travel expense? I would loose money if I charge you any less." I said I fully appreciate the tough competitive climate and that's why I wanted to support your business model and called you, but if you were going to lose money shouldn't you have reflect that in your bid and estimate? I was told that "Had I quoted you for $100/hour you would not have hired me". We will continue to consider First Call based on our excellent first experience with them, however, experiences such as the above does considerable damage to the environment of trust they work so hard to create - hence a B. <br />"

"Found Folkrod on Angieslist and gave them the opportunity to bid.  Their bid of $4,100 was competitive with others, but I selected them because of owner Tim's understanding of the job and his associated suggestions.  Once given the work, it was scheduled within a week and completed a week later.  The scope of work was increased slightly thus reflected in the increased final cost.  All work was done professionally and with the best of materials.  I was very satisfied with all aspects of my interaction with Folkrod Plumbing. <br />"

"Joe from Zierman is so wonderful! Home Depot could not install the new washing machine I bought for my mother because the old hoses from the old washing machine were frozen over (calcification). I had less than 48 hours to get a plumber to fix this, so Home Depot could install the new machine. I could not be there in person to help my mother get this fixed. So, I had to rely on reviews online to find a plumber - Zierman Plumbing had great reviews, so I called. So glad I did. I explained my situation to Joe and he was so kind and was able to give me an idea of what to expect for the job and an estimate over the phone. And, he was available to go to my mother's house within the hour. Joe was able to fix the problem quickly and for a reasonable price. It was exactly what he had explained over the phone and quoted me. It was such a comfort to me (not being able to be there with my elderly mother), to have Joe there to repair the plumbing problem. Joe was so honest and nice and my mother was very comfortable having him in her house. I recommend Joe and Zierman Plumbing for any plumbing issues in the area. "Joey with FJA construction did a great job. For an ADU project we did, he thought through every step and foresaw different issues that could arise. For a couple parts of the job he wanted to subcontract out (plumbing and countertops), he called several contractors to ensure he (aka me) was getting the best price. He almost always answered his phone or would call back shortly. Very professional and very happy with him."
