"I am somewhat disappointed. Hopefully though, I have a waterproof flat roof, but the before and after installation was problematic. On 09/21/22 three guys showed up at about 10am, one left after 45 minutes, and the other 2 went to work. About an hour in, it started to drizzle, but the guys continued working. When it really started to rain hard they finally put up a tarp and left for the day at about 12:45pm. But the damage was done. Below the roof, the ceiling in the room was partially wet, resulting in some soaked insulation on the attached tile material; causing one to even fall from the ceiling from the weight of the water, which also resulted in some tiles to separate their ceiling tile material cover from the insulation. Also, enough water came through the ceiling to wet some of the carpet. On the following day at 9am sharp, three guys showed up and went immediately to work. They were done by 4:00pm. Upon inspection of the roof it was pointed out there was a sizeable glue spill stain on the rubberized roof material, but no effort was made to remove it. Finally, as they left, they dragged at least one, or two, of the debris bags across the driveway, scratching and scarring the cement. The one adjective that comes to mind is careless. Maybe I’m neat picking but for the premium price, and sterling reputation, I expected not to have these types of issues on an otherwise good job."

"This was the best contractor that I’ve ever hired Brandon knows what he’s talking about. Obviously he knows about carpentry as well as roofing material. He knew exactly what I needed and he knew exactly what the best product would be for my flat roof. Brandon was very proactive from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised the entire time. "Initially, there were a few issues due to technical difficulties and complexity of the roof job.  After some discussions with GLR team, they came out several times to consult on the technical issues and ultimately resolved every single detail without charging us a ton of extra costs.  After all is said and done, James Weiss is not only a fair and honest..... "I was told there was a crack at the top of my chimney, allowing water to enter the chimney, was told they sealed it and no more water would get in. The next rain storm, tons of water leaking inside, called them to have them come back, was told someone would be out, no one came, called three more times on different days, was told twice someone would be out, no one came, eventually they stopped returning my calls. Had another company come out, they immediately found a few areas where mortar was completely missing around some bricks and the old caulking at the roof line had large holes in it. The other company sealed and caulked, no more leaks. When Best Chimney replaced the porch steps, they only mortared one side of the steps, but left large gaps at the top of the step where it met the porch and left large gaps open along the other side where each step met each other and met the side of the porch. The large gaps will make great homes for ants and wasps, when asked why they didn't fill the gaps all the way around, I was told because it will just crack open when the house shifts. It really just looked like they ran out of mortar mix and didn't want to waste time/money making more. I sealed up the gaps myself. When they did the gutter, they ran the down spout right up against the house below my window, so water will pour out against my wall/house. Never saw that before, everyone knows you need water to run AWAY from your house, not against it. I had to remove the down spout and fix it myself. They're responsive until they do the work and get your money, but after that you will never get a return call and no one will ever come back to correct any issues. They did this to me the last time I used them about 3 years ago for brick work. I will never use or recommend this company again."

"Jimmy was here within 15 minutes to do an emergency repair on my tree damaged roof. Heavy rain was in the forecast and my concern of further damage was highly stressful. He temporarily fixed the roof the prevent further damage at his first visit. I had contacted two other companies the previous day, both were a no-show. Jimmy was not only fast and efficient his repair price is more than fair. He’ll be back to complete the extensive damage within the week. He took a very upsetting situation and quelled my fears. He also followed all the procedures recommended during these strange times. Thank you so much Jimmy!!"

"One day before the job, shingles and all the materials were delivered. At 8:00 am, The crew showed up and started the work. As promised, they threw all the removed shingles into the dumpster. As promised, they installed new flashings and counter flashings on all coil pipes, chimneys and walls. As promised, they installed aluminum drip edge to entire perimeter of roof. And, they installed 9 roof vents as promised. The job including cleaning was completed by 1:30 pm. Tom came the next morning for the final inspection and clean up. I mentioned a few minor complaints. He corrected everything. Then, I paid the full amount that they derserved. So far, I have not had any problem with the new roof."
