"Larry was prompt, knowledgeable and did what he said he would do. I was impressed with his attention to detail and precision. The concrete pavers patio he installed for me looks better than I expected and I came away impressed with his work. Often times contractors have not shown up when they said or been difficult to return calls. Larry showed up when he said he would and was very responsive. I would hire him again for sure."

"Great experience. They did a great job and we are extremely pleased with the results. Our yard looks great. They trimmed all of the hedges and the shrubs, and cleaned up the garden beds and yard. We plan to hire again to do some landscaping as well as periodic garden and yard clean up. Great service and great prices. Bruce T"

"PJ is a nice guy and genuinely wanted us to be happy with his work. That said, it would have been helpful if he had actually drawn up plans and gone over them with us, working out details, before beginning the job. We also would recommend that demolition not begin until all necessary materials to complete the job have been purchased and all important materials are actually in his possession. Our estimated five week job ended up taking more than two and a half months - all that time without a usable bathroom! In fairness, much of the delay was not PJ's fault - but by the time we got to the last stages of the job, he was feeling rushed to complete it and we were just ready to have it done. As a result, we compromised on several issues and the end result was a bathroom that looked good, but was not what we had really wanted. I would also recommend that PJ either better train or monitor the young men he had doing the demolition work. Although they were friendly and polite, they managed to poke a hole in the wallboard of the adjacent room while tearing down the bathroom walls. They also were careless in dumping debris out the window - some of it landing on one of our shrubs, essentially destroying it. PJ repaired the damaged wall and we didn't even tell him about the shrub, but it left us feeling like we had let some people into our home who were careless with our home. On the other hand, Ernest, the man PJ had do the tile work for us, did a beautiful job and was consistently responsive, polite and professional."

"<p>Garrett group were great.  All the work was completed on time and for the price that was quoted.  We didn't need to call them back for any issues after the work was done. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for any landscaping work you need.</p> <br />"

"I truly found a partner for my project. The cost was a commitment for me, but it seemed comparable to several other bids. And the partnership I sensed from the beginning of our interaction is what sold me on this company. The lead landscape architect, Van Anderson, listened to my ideas and needs, made suggestions, then promised to work with me throughout the process to make sure I was pleased. His team members were polite and friendly, extremely hard-working and punctual, and experts at their craft. I worked from home as they did THEIR work, so I was able to see how much thought and time they put into each step. My hardscape is gorgeous — better than I could have expected — and I'd recommend Waynesboro Landscaping for any project."

"Mike Fusco is an excellent builder and contractor. He built a house for me and a house for my daughter immediately afterwards. Mike was the ultimate professional. He was thorough and conscientious and demanded good work from his workers. Additional, he did his best to make sure that the job was done within budget without cutting corners. I would recommend Mike to anyone who needed a good builder."

"<blockquote> <p>They started our project with excavation work to dig out the area. They prepared the area with rock and compaction for the pavers to be installed. They then laid the pavers and again compacted the paver area. They put back the necessary soil and seed to leave my yard looking the best possible way before finishing the project. The company was very knowledgable and professional. They went the extra mile to clean up all jobsite debris daily before leaving. We were pleased with the work and even years later the project looks great!</p> </blockquote> <br />"

"The pool install was timely considering the pandemic circumstances. I think more explanation could have been provided for some of the material choices, but overall the pool turned out beautifully."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Harrisonburg, VA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
