"Locklear Construction has recently starting doing the monthly yard work for our home, and it has turned out great! They mowed the backyard and did all of the trim work around our fence, removed cacti from the backyard so you don't step on them and get a thorn in your foot, and removed all the vines/weeds trying to grow on the side of the house. They have done an excellent job, especially given all the rain we have had this year! We would highly recommend them for any yard work and lawn services."

"<p>Restoration Exteriors, I believe, provided a fair price to begin with.  Haggling back and forth was not necessary.  We agreed on a start date as long as the weather cooperated since it was an outdoor project.  I paid 10 % deposit.  Unfortunately weather did not cooperate and we had to delay the start by two days.  </p> <p>Manager said that they will be there by about 8....and he was there right on time.  The supplies person showed up a few minutes later and unloaded the supplies in the drive way.  Few minutes later the work crew arrived.  There were a few choices to be made on look of some the items to be installed.  Manager had them create a couple of samples, I chose one of those to be the pattern to be installed.  After that the crew took over making the various pieces needed,,, doing the prep work.  It looked like that each of them knew exactly what they were to be doing once they arrived at the scene.  I made some soft drinks available to them.  One of the owners of the company came around lunch time to check how it was going.  They cleaned up at the end of the day/</p> <p>They only took a reasonable lunch break and worked until about 6:30 or so.  Almost the same work schedule was kept the second day.  Same was true the third day.  Work completed around lunch time, the quality assurance guy came and checked things out.  At the end of work the cleanup person cleaned up the drive way and picked up any scraps of metal from flower beds.  Wrapped up and left!  Few days later Manager and I met and I paid the remaining balance.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Unfortunately I live about 11 hours away from the house that required the work, and was unable to make any of the repairs myself.  I turned to Angie's list to help find a reputable handyman to help out.  Since I couldn't be around to look at the work myself, I wanted someone I could trust.  Hargrove's had a great reputation, and quickly returned my calls.  As Mr Hargrove went through the house, I spoke with him on the phone, and we agreed on what needed done.  Mr Hargrove pointed out several things others hadn't noticed, so I asked him to fix those problems as well. <br /> Mr Hargrove was also very helpful in that he started work immediately, while my check was still in the mail.  I was kept well-informed of the repairs that were being made.  The only thing that got missed was some photos of the work; we talked about getting me some pictures, but I never got any  The work was completed in a timely manner. <br /> Not being able to inspect the repairs myself, I asked the realtor to give me his opinion on the repairs.  He said most of the repairs looked good.  His main reservation was the carpet that was replaced; he stated that it didn't match the carpet that was already in the house very well, and that the whole room should have been replaced, as opposed to a patch.  This is 3rd party information, and in fact I've never met the realtor in person either. <br /> So, regrettably this review is not of great value to someone looking for the specifics of the work done by Hargrove's.  Since I haven't seen the work myself, I can't personally vouch for it being great or mediocre.  However, I can offer specifics on interaction with Hargrove's.  I do trust Hargrove's, the communication was good, and I would use them again if the need arises. <br /> I gave B-ratings for experience, price, and quality only because of the 3rd party review of the work.  I would have liked to give A-ratings, but without being able to see before/after pictures, I felt uncomfortable with that.  I'm certain this situation is not the norm for Hargrove's, where someone is trying to direct their efforts from many miles away.  And admittedly it is not the simplest situation to deal with. <br />"

"I was looking for someone to help repair my hardwood flooring in a property I currently have on the market for sale. I installed the flooring myself and let's just say my trim work was less then desirable. I had a tight budget but the unsightly trim work on the hardwood flooring was driving potential buyers away. So I had to do something. <br /> I found Bryan on Craig's List and I called him to arrange a site visit. Bryan arrived on time and was very professional. We agreed on a price and scheduled a start date. Bryan was able to complete the project on time and on budget. I was extremely happy with the finish results and now all people see is the beautiful home and not the flaws of my DIY handy work!! <br /> I would recommend Bryan to anyone who's in need of DIY "regrets/repairs".... <br /> Highlights:1. "Dan was great, he is a very hard worker and very good at what he does. <br /> <br /> Dan started inside the house by taking care of the ceilings and crown moldings.  And while spackling was drying he got busy doing the doors, cabinets and other small interior jobs I had for him.  He finished the 2nd day with all of the interior work and everything looked amazing.  He put down stuff to cover my furniture and flooring from paint and while he did sanding, also while going in and outside.  He also cleaned up after himself... that alone was a miracle, a man that cleaned up after himself! (Just kidding)  Before he left I paid him for the completed work and gave him the money for the materiel for the fence job which he would be starting next.  Then he began the fence job this entailed removing the previous fence and the rebuilding the new one.  I also asked him to add a double gate to allow a tractor to gain access.  While ripping out the posts from the existing fence he stated that there was not nearly enough cement used and it was no wonder the fence came apart during the storm, he promised that he would dig down far enough and use enough cement to make sure that would not happen again.  He did not used the same holes as the other fence, he hand dug each hole down 24" and added at least 2 bags of cement to each post hole, there was cement on the bottom, and all around each post.  Once all of the posts were set he then hung a string and made sure each board lines up with the next.  He was so meticulous with his work, old fashioned in the way he worked.  The workmanship was great, I am so pleased, it may have taken a little longer than some of the standard fence companies but the end product was well worth it!"
