"I’ve used dan with infinity roofing for a number of years. They replaced the shingles on my Florida home and now put a new metal roof on my highlands home. I’m very happy with the professionalism and quality of work that was done. I even had to get a roof inspection after the roof was replaced for my home owners insurance, and they told me that everything was done not only correctly but it was the best done and best looking roof out of the 20 he inspected that week. So I’m very satisfied with the work done by them. I strongly recommend dan and his team."

"Dan did a very thorough job inspecting my roof. He gave me sound advice on how to maintain the roof in the future. If I had to replace my roof or do any additional maintenance, I would not hesitate to hire Dan and his company to provide that service."

" I love my new metal roof. It looks fabulous. I have had so many positive comments about it from my neighbors. <br /> My initial contact was with their Sales rep who was extremely friendly and on time for the appointment. I loved working with him because he keep me well informed with everything that would be happening during the new roof installation, <br /> My only issue with Roofing Inc. had to do with the staff who installed the roof. They were very friendly and cleaned up after themselves, but they did not communicate when they would be at my house and why they weren't at my house in the middle of the installation. If this <br /> group would have communicated better then I would be giving this company an A+. <br />"

FAQs for wood shake or composite roofing installation and replacement projects in Highlands, NC

Cedar shakes and wood shingles might seem similar, but they have some important differences. Cedar shakes are hand-split, giving them a unique, textured appearance that adds rustic charm to your roof. They're great for homeowners who want a distinctive look. Wood shingles, conversely, are machine-made, providing a smooth, uniform appearance for a more modern look. Shakes tend to be more expensive due to the craftsmanship involved but offer exceptional beauty and resilience.

A well-maintained cedar shake roof can last up to 60 years. However, factors like severe weather and improper ventilation can reduce its lifespan. You should consider replacing your roof if you notice persistent leaks, visible water damage, curling or splitting shakes, moss growth, rot, or missing shakes. Regular inspections can help you determine when it's time for a replacement.

When hiring a roofing contractor for your cedar shake roof, asking the right questions is important. Make sure they are fully certified and have extensive experience with cedar installations. Verify that their team is licensed, bonded, and insured. Ask for details about the materials they use, such as the type of underlayment and fasteners, and how they ensure proper ventilation. Getting multiple written estimates can help you compare options and choose a contractor who offers quality workmanship at a fair price.
