Customers say: True professional

"They were punctual and courteous, and once the project got started, showed up to work every day, including on weekends. At one point, one painted wall developed two thin cracks, and they promptly re-primed and re-painted the entire wall. The painted garage looks like new. We are happy with their work ethics and dedication to customer satisfaction, and the quality of their work."

"Miguel and crew were great to work with. My wife and I live in a historic Victorian home near downtown Lafayette and so the painting was pretty complicated. We have seven different colors and lots of details on our house. Miguel's crew worked with us to get the house painted just like we wanted. He also cleaned up wood rot issues and repaired/replaced cedar siding shingles as needed. We actually made a lot more progress and repairing our home than I had initially thought as I was just anticipating that we would get our house painted. Miguel went above and beyond and I actually ended up tipping him 10% of the total project cost just because of all of the extras he had done for us. I couldn't be happier with the results and would recommend Miguel to anyone."

"Leap Above did an incredible job on our screened in porch! They were prompt, courteous, and did great work! They took our porch from a dusty catch all storage room to my favorite part of the house and I couldn’t be happier! Pricing was great and George and his team were great to work with!"

"He came to my mom's new house and hung a new door that has a doggy door for her pets to go in and out to the backyard. Everything went really well and he was very nice. The project was tricky because of how the door fit the frame but he got everything up without issue. He was a little late arriving, but just had another appointment run over. Overall we would definitely hire him again!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Hillsboro, IN

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
