The project supervisor on site let me know things dealing with my roof that could not be seen until the shingles were removed. There was a large hole in the wood from standing rain water near my chimney. He sent me a picture and did not repair it without my approval. "It started out so well--the price was reasonable I appreciated the fact that he told me I didn't need a new roof yet (which I expected). Instead, we were able to handle the repairs by replacing some severely leaking gutters. The problem was at installation - the workers were rushed, grim and unresponsive to even a friendly hello. They left nails on the patio and did not replace furniture when they left. AND they left behind a full box of gutter "elbows" which are still sitting in my driveway - months later (I fully expected them to pick them up but not a word). I have very mixed feelings about this franchised business - nice people, good intentions but they need to do some customer service training with their employees and make sure they pick up after themselves and perhaps even crack a smile. We planned to use them again at another house but have decided to find someone else instead."

The BBB reported them as a new company (Name Changed 2x+! Why? What were they hiding?). The second company admitted that it was new and under-bid the job. "Ralph Bertrand from Home Genius Exteriors came out to thoroughly examine our roof. Ralph showed us many photos & a video of our roof, outside & inside. Ralph took the time to answer any questions we had. He explained the various products used & levels of warranty available. One thing we liked was that there was someone there from Home Genius Exteriors during the whole time of install. "Recently had my roof condition reviewed by Southern National Roofing company after noticing some leaks by chimney. Through this process I interfaced with Brett who was extremely knowledgeable and provided no high pressure tactics. After conducting a rather thorough review of the attic, Brett identified locations of leaks I had previously noted and a few additional locations. After negotiations on the selection of shingles, schedule and cost, agreement was reached in a rather streamline process. Negotiations were concluded quickly and finance arrangements made without any hassles. Over the couple of week before project started, both Brett and folks from the company kept in contact. Work started on schedule and the crew was extremely professional, polite and hard working. Crew protected all plants, shrubs and walkways and then kept up with clean-up as old roofing was removed.
