"AOA is absolutely the best! I had several companies come to my home to quote replacing all my sliding glass doors and windows with EGS doors and windows and did not feel comfortable with any of them. I finally called EGS to see if they had any recommendations for installers since I was not comfortable with the sales tactics or pushy sales from the other companies I had met with. They recommended AOA construction. I called Steve Belton in sales and asked if we could see/review some of their installations. Unlike the other companies who needed at least a week to schedule a time to see one of their jobs, we were able to go see a job in progress and a completed job the very next day. WOW, I was impressed with not only the quality of the work I saw, but also the professionalism of the AOA team. Steve then came to our home to review our needs and generate a quote. We then met the owner, Ryan Mills who came to measure the doors and windows to complete the order. Ryan explained timing and the installation process to us in detail. Ryan is a man of his word and I would trust him with the keys to my home. It was such a relief to find a company you can truly trust. Most companies are just looking to make a quick buck, but AOA is truly committed to customer service. From receiving the quote to final installation, the associates at AOA are a joy to work with. I have dealt with so many companies that just give you the “run around”, but AOA followed through on everything they said they would do. What a joy to find that there are still companies who care more about the customer than just making a dollar. I can say without a doubt that AOA is the most professional and caring construction company I have ever used. "Carl was great! I sent him a photos of the closet and of the doors I wanted installed. He gave us the estimate for his work and told us how to order the doors. Although Carl did offer to pick up the doors himself, we were able to fit them in our station wagon, so we bought them at Lowe's, ourselves. Carl arrived on time and completed the work as promised. He installed track for top and bottom of sliding doors and had to adjust tile and molding to do so. He patched a spot on our wall, too. The doors look great, and just as the other reviewers mentioned, Carl really is a super nice guy! This was a small job, but even so, Carl treated us like it was very important to him. I appreciated his attitude, as well as his skill set! His work was excellent, and soon we hope to use him to remodel our kitchen! Thanks, Carl!

"Wow! So refreshing to come across a company who are totally professional, easy to deal with and do a great job at a reasonable price. Our patio door had been sticking and making so much noise for the longest time. Smooth Sliders arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, offered a solution and carried out the repair right there and then, putting a new track and bearings in with a great result. The installer was polite and extremely professional. Highly recommended."

"Good overall company, but they lack communication... I would give them a "D" for that. installers were sloppy as well, nails all over the driveway and in pool as well as loose shingle pcs all over the place. Installers lacked supervision big time. Now overall did they do a good job....yes I believe so, it looks great and their 15 yr warranty is best in the industry. But very sloppy and again lacked supervision... I had to makes tons of phone calls to get answers. Home office needs to monitor the job better & keep homeowner in the loop on everything that is going on & not rely on one field supervisor as he is probably spread too thin. They also dented my garage door which I need to address with them."

We obtained bid from Gulfstream in March of 2013 with the
intent of having work done in January of 2014.  After obtaining design approval
for both the window enclosure and front door by our condo HOA we signed a
contract during the summer of 2013 and provided a 50% down payment.  The contract stipulated work was to be
completed by mid-January, 2014.

Because we would not arrive in Florida until late December
of 2013, we arranged to have a neighbor give Gulfstream access to our condo in
October of 2013 to do final measurements before ordering materials.  However, Gulfstream
didn?t reach out to the neighbor until late November and therefore measurement did not take
place until the first week in December.

We arrived in Florida at the end of December, 2013 and
reached out to Gulfstream to determine when we could expect them to begin
work.  At that time we were advised that
the front door and the frame for the windows/screen could be installed, but
there would be a delay on the installation of the windows/screens of about a
week.
After the front door was installed we realized they
installed the wrong front door.  To Gulfstream?s
credit the salesperson came out that afternoon to review the work and agreed
they had made an error.  The correct door
was installed within a week.  Amazingly
we learned the Sales Manager (who we understand is no longer with them) took it
upon himself to change the door order because someone he knows that lives in
this community told him, in error, the door we had selected would not meet the
condo board?s approval.  We couldn?t
believe that change could be made without ever contacting us to discuss.
Re: the windows/screens, the date constantly shifted.  The communication was poor with regard to the
shifting dates ? the onus was on us to check to see if the last date
communicated would hold.    At least two
weeks went by before the owner finally advised us she was having trouble with
the supplier.  It appeared she was afraid
to give us bad news.  Ironically,
consistently giving us unreliable or no information only made it more
frustrating for us as we had other contractors lined up to do work in the
lanai.
Despite the hiccups, we are very happy with the quality of
the workmanship and the products.  The
two person team who did the installation was wonderful.  They came when they said they would, took
great pride in the work they did and took great care to clean up after they
completed their work.

"The windows could not be replaced at first. They found too much carpentry work was needed before the windows could be properly installed. They recommended a contractor who handled the work in a timely fashion and with a minimum of extra work being needed. I did spend more then I had planned on but considering the quality it was worth it."
