"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"

Despite multiple repairs, have had problems with leaks that kept coming back, ever since. Malachi contacted me after I put my information into Angie’s list. We set a time for him to take a look at the roof and give me estimate. He arrived, on time, at the time specified. He explained in a very understandable way what was causing the leaks and what he would to do fix it. He gave me a verbal estimate on the spot and within a short time emailed the written estimate to me. The price he gave me was significantly less than other companies I had quoted with. The written estimate clearly stated what was to be done, exactly as we had discussed, and for the exact amount he quoted when he gave me the verbal estimate. He warranted his work in writing. We agreed on a time for the repair and he was at my home, on time, ready to work, at the specified time. He completed the repair in 1 day. It rained very hard the next day and there was no leaking. It had been a very long time since there was no leaking during a hard rain. The entire process took less than a week and was very easy. I was very happy with the entire process and all interactions with Malachi. I would definitely use this company again!"
