"We have hired Perfection Roofing and Siding multiple times, including having them replace all of the siding on our home. "Perfection" being in the name is very well deserved. Even other contractors have commented on how good the siding looks. No one else will touch my siding or paint my house, full stop. Russ is a gem of a human being. He's responsive, fair, and even managed to introduce us to the adoption agency we got our dog from. His warranty is gold. If you raise a question or concern, he's going to make it right even years after the works is complete. Hire Perfection Roofing and Siding."

"I recently had roof damage due to several hail storms. I contacted my insurance agent and friends for recommendations. True Quality Roofing had the most sincere, real reviews. One call, and Jay was here the same day to inspect my roof and explain exactly what needed to be done. He met with my adjuster and everything began to happen. I had several occasions to speak with other employees at True Quality Roofing, they were always very understand, helpful, kind and polite. The crew from True Quality Roofing were punctual, efficient and worked non-stop. They handled every detail with the insurance company and the install. I can't say enough about TQR and their people!!!"

"Outstanding professionalism and responsiveness! I would have to call Finley's a "well-oiled roofing machine"! Our materials choices, the job process and our Warranty (the best in the business) were thoroughly explained before-hand. From "tarping" to dumpster delivery and pick-up, delivery of roofing material(s), protecting our shrubs and flower beds, fast well-coordinated demo/roofing crew, extraordinary clean-up... it was equally what they did and the way they did it. The crew was punctual, careful, respectful and efficient. Finley's worked with us and our insurance carrier to provide a top-of-the-line roof and their estimate matched the final bill to the penny. We could not be happier. Start to finish this has been our best contractor experience ever."

"This is one of the BEST contractors I've Ever worked with in 20 years. Brent and his team were amazing. I interviewed 8 or 9 different roofing and gutter companies . Christian Roofing was the only one that mathematically and correctly addressed the inadequate ventilation on this hip roof. The installation was inmpressive: A crew that's worked together for many years; the Foreman and Job Capitain are the perfect complementary balance of new school / old school as one has a GA Tech degree and the other has 35 years hands on experience; they brought a port-a-potty with the dumpster; they did not use kick boards - which make additional holes- but were roped in; and they left the job site- my home- clean! The synthetic roof felt, shingles, vents were all high quality GAF materials with a long warranty. As important of an investment as a new roof is, I am just so glad I found these guys. Rarely do I write reviews but 'simply had to after a job this well-done!"

"Chris and his crew were very personable and professional. My entire roof was stripped of old shingles, felt, ridge vents and replaced in one day! The trash was disposed of and a huge magnet was used to insure no nails were missed. Just an absolute top notch job. I will use Chris and his Top Team for all my future roofing needs. I would advise anyone looking for a straightforward estimate to give Chris a call. His pricing was several hundred to over a thousand less than other estimates. <br />"

"Our house was a victim of the great hailstorm of 2017. We filed a claim and called Trademark Contractors. Sam Aldridge came out and handled everything. It was very obvious they are a company that operates with the highest levels of integrity and that is what means the most to me. (One of his first questions was "are you prepared to pay the deductible" whereas others were like [looking around shiftily]"we can just put a sign in your hard ... wink wink"]). Sam was always on time for appointments and always responded within a couple of hours to calls or texts. He is extremely knowledgeable of the process and kept us well-informed at all stages. Crews were excellent. We have a large house (4600+ sqft) but the roof was done in a day and a half. Our original insurance estimate missed a number of vital things and Sam handled "proving" to the insurance company what we needed. (For example, the gutters were quoted using standard guttering but we have Leafgard gutters. The original quote proposed re-using the glass on the skylights...crazy right? and he handled getting a letter explaining that the seals required full replacement.) Because of the storm, Trademark (and a lot of other vendors) were incredibly busy (our neighborhood was a "showroom for roofing companies") but we were taken care of very well. We would definitely use again. Seth"

"We met the representatives of Athens Roofing at the 2014 Spring Atlanta Home Show.  My wife has wanted a " metal" roof for a long time and Athens Roofing represents Classic Metal Roofing Systems, which has a Residential Product Line of Aluminum Roofing Systems.  She liked the Product they presented and we requested a Quote.  They also informed us that this wasn't a "stocked item" and that each system was custom made by the factory, which was no problem for us. Further, that it would be a four to six week installation because each piece of aluminum roofing has to be "custom cut" for installation, which also wasn't a problem. Their Sales Manager, came to our house to inspect the roof and verify what we wanted done.  We were very impressed with his analysis of what needed to be done. He even had a Eagle View Technologies Diagram and Photograph of our house's roof.   He left use with several Styles of Roof shingles and colors for our selection and a 26-page CMRS "Homeowner's Guide To Roofing.  On April 21, 2014, he returned to present the Quote, which we accepted.  He explained that he would place the order with the factory and let us know when we might expect the installation to begin.  The installation team came to the house and inspected the house and verified exactly what was to be done.  Installation began in the last week of July and was completed the week after Labor Day.  One factor that contributed to the long installation period was that our house's total roof area is 3,864 <br /> sq. ft, which includes three bay windows, five dormers, an eyebrow window, two door overhangs, all of which required special "cutting" for installation.  Also there was a shed and two half-sheds included <br /> In closing, I would like to add that all the personnel of Athens Roofing were courteous and friendly and that we are very satisfied with our new "lifetime" aluminum roof.  My wife is having designed a 9 ft. x 19 ft. patio structure, which will also have the same roofing installed by Athens Roofing. <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Commerce, GA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
