"Amazing. The work was great. Mike and his workers did a wonderful job and were very professional. He gave me options that would get the job done and save me money. I was told what was happening every step of the way so I never had to guess what he was doing. I have had several jobs done by him and will be coming back."

"I called Caleb and he was here within an hour. He performed energency repairs. As soon as the adjuster sent his report a crew was sent out and the wall was completed in two days.  The crew did beautiful work and were polite hard working and left the area neat and clean. "The project went a little longer than projected but given the work needed to rehab a 100 year old house that was no surprise to me. I am happy with the work and when I sell my old house will have Johnny's crew redo the kitchen. The workers are polite, maintain clean work sites, clean up after themselves, and have pride in their workmanship."

"My Wife and I would like to thank Tom Rubino of Landscape Drainage Solutions for his recent follow-up and the quality work installing our Stormwater Drainage System. After the record rain fall, we experienced two weeks ago, at our Scottsdale home, would have been flooded and facing considerable out-of-pocket cleanup and remediation costs. <br /> The Cost for having a well-designed stormwater drainage system installed by a highly professional, competent and qualified contractor like Tom Rubino and Landsape Drainage Solutions, paid for itself in less than 24 hours, great ROI in anyone's book. When Tom first assessed our situation and saw our photos of standing water in our side and back yards from previous storm events, he knew exactly how to resolve our stormwater drainage problem. Simply move the stormwater out of the side and back yards to the front yard and into street. <br /> Tom recommended using a combination of slot/channel drains annd five 9-inch box drains feeding into a 50 gallon heavy duty PVC sump tank with a submergible pump. The pump moved the captured rainwater over 75' from the sump tank to a and quot;popupand quot; installed in our front yard where the rainwater would be safely channeled into the street and untimely into the cities stormwater management system. <br /> Before we hired Tom Rubino and Landscape Drainage Solutions to do our project, we met with several other contractors who claimed they could solve our rainwater drainage issues. Their cost and approach to our rainwater drainage problems were all over the map. What sold us on Landscape Drainage Solutions was Tom Rubino, is honest and professional approach to our problem, his 2-year work and materials guarantee and lastly, Tom's sincerity, what he says he does. Landscape Drainage Solutions is a great Companty to do business with. Tom took the stress out of a stressful situation. Both my wife and I woul like to thank you again, Tom, for giving us peace of mind with our stormwater drainage issues--the system worked flawlessly. We have not seen a single pool of standing rainwater in either our side or back yards. <br />"

"Wonderful! When was the last time you enjoyed a remodel? When was the last time you enjoyed having total strangers in your home? My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed having every employee come to work each morning with a smile on their face and a skip in their step. Each employee was professional, knew exactly what was expected of them, and treated us very well! They worked as a team and kept the mess to an absolute minimum. We would recommend them to anyone and already have."

"They are perfectionists. Joe, Joey and Andy work well together. They did all the concrete work themselves, their preparation was extensive, ensuring a precision pour and development. The planning was extensive and on target. I am able to say, with no reservations, these men are reliable, professional, accomplished craftsmen and with the perk of being reasonably priced. They are good, hard working, honest men. <br />"

"The proposal that Isaac gave us included remodeling the master bath, especially the shower. The master bath had a traditional shower which had to be completely remodeled for use by a person who has serious physical difficulties. The remodel included tearing out the shower enclosure, relocating the plumbing fixtures and handles and re-tiling the shower enclosure. In order to make the shower accessible and usable for a handicapped person, the shower floor had to be redone so that a person using using a walker could enter the shower easily and safely.  A permanent seat was installed that gave my sister a solid place to sit while she showered. The double sink vanity was  redesigned to provide two levels so that my sister could stand at the basin and remain seated in the area where she did her hair and make-up.  Handicap height toilets were installed in both the master and guest bathrooms.  As the project progressed, both my sister and Isaac came up with additional ideas that made the new home more liveable for her. Some of those ideas have meant that this project is not yet complete. All in all, this project involved carpentry, dry wall installation, cabinetry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, tile installation and other miscelaneous skills that I'm probably forgetting. The work that Isaac and his crew did, and are continuing to do, was thoroughly professional and meticulous. The price Isaac quoted was fair and reasonable and the project kept to the original bid, except for changes that were appropriate and discussed and approved in advance. Isaac was sympathetic to my sister's physical difficulties and went well above and beyond to see that her needs were considered and incorporated in the project. Dealing with Isaac and the members of his crew was a real pleasure. I can't say enough about Isaac and Niu Construction, they were great. I have no hesitation or reservation in recommending Isaac and Niu Construction for any remodeling project you may have in mind."

"The work was done and so I can't complain, I guess. I would not use them again because they took a very long time, failed to bring all the required material to the site in a timely manner, used an irrigation valve which popped out causing water to pour out all over the back patio until my neighbor shut it off, let the dog out of the yard 3 times and left me with a recommendation to travel to Tucson and purchase the irrigation drip line I would need to complete the planting. It didn't help that the project manager I started <br /> with quit the company half-way through the project. The big deal they made about a plant specialist to help decide what I should plan is a mystery to me. The person was pretty blase about the whole thing. I learned much more from nursery employees at Mesquite Valley Growers in Tucson and by walking around the neighborhood to see what was growing. don't know if any other companies are any better... <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Sierra Vista, AZ

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
