"Met with Paul Rivenburgh re: landscaping, moving some existing shrubs, new plantings, river rock around patio and backside of the fencing; discussed what we would like; liked his suggestions and the quoted pricing. Before work could begin we had to wait for the concrete curbing/board to be installed, once the border was in place called him back to have a time frame when he could start our project; he contacted me in a timely fashion, giving me a date to be able to start the work and was right on time. Paul and his crew worked very hard and completed the project within a day to our great satisfaction. All our neighbors comment on how beautiful our yard is. The hydro seeding was very successful (unlike a previous company) and our lawn looks very lush and the grass is growing and filling in the rest of the lawn nicely. Also, because the work Paul and his staff was not as extensive as originally thought, he even reduced the original cost, much to our delight. I would highly recommend Paul's Lawn Care."

"Having referred many people to Apex, even helping to convert some of my neighbors to Apex customers I have to vent a bit about my recent experience. After 11 years of living in Country Knolls my family this week moved to Rexford. I 100% expected to continue with Apex. I called to move the service and was told that I would be contacted with my new price (after I mentioned that my new yard was .16 acres smaller. A few days later I get a call from Apex telling me that my new annual total was higher and that I owed $90+ dollars more of I wanted to finish the year (I prepaid for the whole season). I asked that they go back to (I believe his name is Joe and redo the math). I call back a week later to inquire, leave a message and then get a call back a few days after telling me the numbers were correct. I call back and this time talk to Joe, a clearly overconfident man (based on his whole approach to my conversation). I said I have always been happy with Apex. I said, if you cared to look back you would clearly see that there were a number of new customers on my cul de sac after I began using Apex (I am always very happy to sing praises if happy with service). Joe right away snapped back with something the effect of “well that’s because we are a great company we do a great job.”, completely dismissing word of mouth (from a company who I believe does offer a referral bonus). As much as I truly had no desire to do so, on principle, I responded to Joe’s clear lack of interest in or understanding for my position with a request to stop service and a refund for the remainder of the year. The cherry on top was the surprising lack of care that was conveyed when I said that I wanted to stop service (from Joe or from the person who processed the order). Having been a loyal customer ever since leaving Turf Green and honestly having told everyone (even on the Nextdoor site) about Apex, I was amazed that they would let me walk because I couldn’t bring myself to pay another $90 per year to have a clearly smaller lawn serviced. I know this was long, but I hope it conveys my frustrations with this local company. BTW, since I know that the owners do see this. I am happy to come back to Apex at my normal rate (not even at the lower rate I expected), if they care to reach out."

"It went great.  Craig and his crew arrived on time, as well as the topsoil delivery/haulaway truck and started working very promptly. He had encouraged me to be on site the day of the work to make sure everything was done up to my satisfaction and was very open and helpful throughout the process to ensure all work that I wanted was completed.  The crew worked fast, they were here and finished within about 3 hours and didn't waste any time.  Craig kept me in the loop about what he planned to do and continually asked to make sure he wasn't missing anything that I wanted done.  The entire crew was polite and respectful and worked hard. Everyone was very knowledgeable and skilled and Craig did a great job with the skidsteer machine, especially in removing the very difficult front stoop without any damage to the house or a plumbing cleanout pipe that was just 6 inches or so away.  Within about 5 days the grass was already poking up through the straw and it is now starting to fill in very well, just about 10 days after it was planted.  His response to my initial inquiry and subsequent walk through estimate were very prompt, fairly priced and complete and he responded to my emails throughout the process promptly answering little questions I had along the way. <br />"
