"I needed a landscaper because my lawn was a mess (more weeds and moss than grass, it seemed), and water was seeping into the basement because of improper gutter drainage and soil grading. Oh, and there was a critter, possibly the skunk that was seen in the area, burrowing underground where there was a gap near my patio – ugh! I hired M&L because the quote was reasonably priced, and Leo was responsive, understanding and cooperative as my landscaping project evolved. The job he ended up doing included building a trench for the gutter downflow, re-grading the entire lawn, creating flowerbeds, installing a fence, doing concrete work (to keep that critter out!), and paving a small section of the yard to hold trash and recycling bins. Leo and his team showed up when they said they would, worked quickly and efficiently, and with the greatest attitude – all of them were hard-working and easy to deal with. I will definitely hire M&L again for future landscaping jobs, and I highly recommend them to others. My lawn now looks nice and neat, can't wait for the new grass to grow. Thank you, Leo and crew!"

Most recently, we asked Bernie to advise us on removing some older yew bushes and replacing all of the plantings in our front yard. Not only did he do the removals quickly and without any issues, but he advised on some beautiful new plants, shrubs, and trees that his team installed perfectly. We love how it turned out! (& so do our neighbors!) Bernie also went the extra mile by clearing a stuffed gutter that was giving us some drainage problems, and installed beautiful reservoirs at the bottom of our downspouts, to further help us when big storms hit. Bernie's crew is always professional, efficient, and extremely hardworking. We experimented with another crew a couple of years ago, and it wasn't even close -- they were nowhere near as talented or detail-oriented as Macauley Bros. If you go with Macauley Bros, you won't regret it."
