"Ken and his crew did a remarkable job matching the color of the existing mortar, which was my main priority. The work they performed was outstanding. They took the time to prep the cracks and filled them in so the work is barely noticeable. A few bricks needed to be replaced and Ken took the time to find some bricks nearly matched. They also repaired some concrete steps leading up to my front porch and it looks great. I recommend them for any brick or concrete work. <br />"

"There were very patient with me as we had a lot of other work done on the house and didn't want the driveway until everything else was completed. Once I told them OK, they were here the next week. Total job took only three days(big driveway). Their work was excellent. The concrete is beautiful. Price was in middle of 4 estimates. <br /> I would use them again and recommend them to all. <br /> <br />"

"She has quick response time and has good quality of service and work. She does our weekly mowing, did fairly significant amount of landscaping and spring cleaning. $1500 is worth it for the things she does and she is great and right on the money. "

"Archadeck was very professional. They determined the problem and decided we needed to tear down the entire deck, rebuild the frame and steps, and then redeck it. We chose Azek composite decking and a TAM-RAIL railing system. We ha d lots of rain which delayed the start of the project but it only took 3 days to complete it once the weather cooperated. While this was an expensive project, we know it will last."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Huntertown, IN

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
