"Complete Restoration Services did a great job on our house. We had to move out of the house. They were so professional about what had to be done. They went to bat with the insurance company to make sure everything was done correctly. Their workers were very knowledgeable about each job that had to be done."

"We underwent a complete kitchen remodel as a result of a water intrusion issue. Initially, we were going to repair and reuse the existing cabinets. However, after meeting with Stan, we decided that installing new cabinets would be more cost-effective and also improve the functionality of the kitchen. Stan's workmanship was outstanding, as is his customer service. Most people don't have a comprehensive understanding of cabinetry and the options that are available today. Stan patiently stepped us through the entire process, introducing various options and explaining the positives and negatives of each. He spent many hours working the design with my wife and testing various finishes and hardware. As a result, we have an elegant, unique solution that is also very affordable. We removed an oversized island that was a bottleneck to traffic flow in the kitchen and added a 90 degree extensions to the original design. We now have a kitchen that flows better, provides more counter space, more storage, and it has allowed my wife to add a coffee bar. We are delighted with our new cabinets and feel that they have transformed our home. We definitely plan to use Stan again, and he has our highest recommendation!"

"I sold a house that I had on the market, but an inspector for the purchaser found several things that needed to be repaired. <br /> Rocky came, even though it was just a small job, and completed all of the work in a very prompt and professional manner. <br /> The purchaser was totally pleased with the repairs and very happy with purchasing the house. <br /> The things that needed repaired were: <br />   ? Installing a new set of attic stairs <br />   ? Adjusting the front door so that it would seal tight and not leak cold air <br />   ? Repairing a section of flashing that was coming loose <br />   ? Installing a new vent on the chimney <br /> <br />"

"We were planning a major kitchen renovation and we asked a friend who they used.  They recommended Robert Childs.  I looked <br /> <br /> him up on Angie's List and he had an A; even better.  We met with Robert and instantly felt at ease with him.  He listened to our ideas and had some good suggestions.  He was very easy to work with and didn't mind the constant additions that I asked his subcontractors to do. Everyone associated with the project did good work.  Robert's  estimate was on target with the actual cost.  There were no surprises.  We would use him again for any kind of renovation that we might do."

"Planning is key to a good remodel. Select everything before you start - appliances, cabinets, counters, light fixtures, faucets..... We had Brenda Barton, Kitchen Gallery, design our kitchen and used the cabinets she sells. Bill took her plan and scheduled the job so that the house was ready for the cabinets when they arrived. We started on Monday July 2. The kitchen was completely gutted. Bill moved an opening on a load bearing wall per the design. His electrician, Tommy is great. Our home had some 'interesting' wiring which Tommy fixed as part of the remodel. The hot water heater was moved from a closet to our basement and the sink move across the room. Since we are not on a slab and our crawl space is 6 ft high, the plumbing was not as expensive as expected. Bill handles the unexpected issues during a remodel very well and without excessive costs. We had an operational kitchen by Labor day. It took about 4 weeks to fully complete the job due to the wood flooring and I had not selected the back splash. Overall this was a successful remodel and I enjoy my kitchen every time I walk in the room. <br />"

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Huntsville, AL

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
