"Travis was extremely reliable and professional throughout the entire process.  The bid was done in a timely fashion, and he was able to incorporate multiple employees ideas into the project without skipping a beat.  He immediately had an eye for the overall layout and symmetry of the design and offered good solutions to our tight space constraints.  He was willing to work around our clinic schedule, which was a must given our line of work.  He was able to minimize disruption to our usual work flow by having the cabinets/supplies ready in advance, which limited the time needed for his crew to be in our office.  He and his crew literally came in and overhauled our workspace within a few days.  There was no "running back and forth" to finish up things; the project was done right the first time.  The results were wonderful. <br />"

"We purchased a 5700 SF home in May 2014 and the interior needed to be painted TOP to BOTTOM.  I got several estimates and A-Team was slightly less, but still a competitive price, so I decided to go with Josh and Travis.  I have no regrets?they came in everyday (even on Sunday) they said they would  and worked very hard until the job was done and they called if they were running late. I appreciated the fact that they constructed plastic barriers when needed to control fumes and keep sanding dust confined and if I needed to make a change they were very accommodating.  My husband was floating out the garage walls and ceiling and A-Team gave him helpful advice and even loaned him their scaffolding. <br /> <br /> They painted: <br /> <br /> Painted 100% of the ceilings <br /> Painted 75% of the walls  <br /> Painted 40% of the trim, crown molding, and doors  <br /> Prime, sanded, and painted cabinets in 3 bathrooms and the wet bar <br /> Painted four car garage ceiling and walls <br /> <br /> We could not be more pleased with the work that A-Team did; it's been a year now since the work has been completed and everything still looks as good as it did a year ago!"

"The representative came out and looked over the job carefully--he got down on his knees and dug through the nap of the carpet to see the stains at the base--and explained different stains and what he could do for them. Then he gave me a few options, explaining the ramifications of them including price. We decided on a plan of attack. He came back two days later. Our appointment was for 8:30 AM; around 8:00 AM he called and said he had a meeting and would have to be late, around 10 AM. He showed up right at 10 AM and worked until almost 1 pm. I saw him cleaning the stairs--he was on his hands and knees, working the business end of his machine with a great amount of effort. <br /> While he was cleaning the apartment carpet I noticed that he had several different bottles of preparation. He told me that different stains required different treatments. <br /> He recommended that I leave the a/c fan running in both rooms, as well as keeping air flow going by opening all the interior doors of the apartment and the back exterior door of the studio. Even so, he must have extracted most of the liquid because both rooms were completely dry by morning. <br /> I was truly impressed by how clean everything was, and now 48 hours later none of the stains have returned. In the past, I've had carpet cleaners do that much area in about 30 minutes, with stains returning as soon as the floor dried. Idaho Fire and Flood Restoration did an amazing job, taking the time and using their knowledge to ensure that I had a great job. I will be including a clause in leases that in order to get their cleaning deposits back, tenants have to use this company. I don't want anyone to waste their money using an inferior company on my carpets. <br /> I definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs carpets cleaned, whether their carpets have just routine wear, like mine, or if they're victims of fire or flood. These folks not only know their business, they truly care about results and take pride in leaving their customers with really clean floors. Great work, guys! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Idaho Falls, ID

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
