"Marco’s response was prompt and professional. He is knowledgeable and explained what needed to be done to fix my back door that had sagged and would no longer locked. Wonderful attitude and great all round person. I would definitely hire him for any future projects."

"I cannot recommend this company highly enough. We hired them to install a ladder and flooring creating a garage attic. RGB cleaned out stuff left by the previous owners, shored up the base and installed everything. There were a couple of minor issues like wiring for the garage doors but Rodrigo made us aware and they were quickly resolved. We will be hiring them again."

"This is a hard review to write. Robert is a talented man and the cabinets he made for us are outstanding. However, I would think that if you're making cabinets to match existing cabinets (kitchen and bathroom), or shelves similar to shelves in other cabinets, you would actually look inside the existing cabinets to make sure the new matched the old. And if an existing cabinet that sat on the floor had quarter-round, you would assume the new cabinet should also have it. Robert did not do these things. Perhaps I needed to be more exacting in my description or asked Robert to look at the existing items, but I tend to give people the benefit of doubt that they know what they're doing. In any event, we are happy with the cabinets. We also asked Robert to paint over areas after new closet hardware was installed. He did a great job, but the price was--to my mind--considerably more than it should have been. Finally, even though Robert's estimates increased rather largely, he still asked for more money at the end of his work. There were also several delays in the getting the project done. I am not saying I would not use Robert's services again, but unless we need more cabinets, he would not be my first choice."

"I cannot say enough about how well Todd and Dan managed our floor/wall repair project.  It included a water damage demolition team, flooring team from Simas Flooring, drywall team, and baseboard install. Todd was able to be present when the independent insurance adjuster had an appointment and was very helpful in alerting and reminding the adjuster of important items for the insurance quote. Subsequently they managed the actual project with the various flooring and drywall people and it went pretty much according to plan.  All of the workers did great work, but especially want to mention the incredible baseboard work, absolutely beautiful!  Also a shout out to Dan who did an excellent job of communicating via phone, text, and email ? which I
think is the key to a happy customer.  We have had two significant projects (total value over $25K) with Reno Renovators in the last two years and the most important thing we can say is that we trust them."

FAQs for wood stairs and railings repair projects in Incline Village, NV

Hiring a pro to refinish wooden stairs means labor makes up 20% to 30% of your total budget. That price covers sanding, staining, and sealing each step. In most cases, a certified refinisher can tackle a 10-step staircase in about two hours, then apply stain and sealant for a durable, eye-catching finish that stands up to daily traffic.

A pro can sand a standard 10-step staircase in roughly two hours, then needs another four to six hours for each coat of stain and sealant to dry. DIYers should budget up to a week for sanding, staining, and sealing in stages. With a crew on site, the bulk of the work is completed in a single day, minimizing disruptions while still achieving a high-quality finish.

It’s possible to refinish stairs without full-scale sanding by using chemical strippers, power buffers, or simply layering a fresh finish over the existing coat. Chemical strippers break down old stains and sealants, while buffers quickly shave off surface material. Even so, a quick hand-sand with fine-grit paper helps the new finish bond properly and look smooth. As always, suit up in protective gear and follow product directions to keep your wood—and yourself—safe.

For most stair projects, you’ll want two sandpaper grits. Begin with 80- to 120-grit to strip the old finish and even out rough spots, then move to 150- to 220-grit for a smooth, ready-for-stain surface. A power sander speeds up the coarse pass, but switches to hand sanding with the fine grit in corners and along edges to keep abrasion even and give stain or sealer something to grab onto.
