Two flights of stairs at the first, two flights at the 2nd. Brought everything to the final location and individual rooms per instruction. Literally laid out the red carpet, everything padded + shrink wrapped. They even went the extra mile to assemble a bed frame at the end of a long day."

Jeff and his two skilled compatriots (after several confirmations and instructional emails he sent days and weeks earlier) arrived right on time, with large truck, ready to make it happen. They also were ready to repack or protect any objects improperly prepared for the journey. Their quickness, and fairness on pricing, made this a headspinning (favorably) experience, Blink and the move was already over! Would use them again in a minute. Was quoted by several other moving firms in the $2000 to $3000 range. Potomac Movers would not give me a firm quote but based it on time, which had me worried -- with a delivery 70 mi away -- it could end up higher than the other quotes. As it turned out, they were 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of other firms. Am glad I trusted them."

They communicated with us ahead of time to make sure we knew when they'd be at both houses. We made a couple changes to our inventory list and underestimated how many boxes we'd have. Both were handled with zero problems. We had six movers to move us out, and only two came to the new house, so obviously it took longer. Still done in a completely reasonable amount of time. "Every portion of the move is contracted out: the guy that comes to do home survey and estimate, movers that load the truck, the driver, the movers that unload the truck. These are all different entities, not a single cohesive company. There is no central coordination or continuity in service. It was the cheapest quote we received and it showed when the job was done. The surveyor was nice when at the home and helpful, but not available to take my calls or answer questions after that. The move coordinator was short, indifferent and rude with a smile. I would avoid this company if possible."

"XPress Movers helped me move my stuff from a storage unit into my newly completed house. They showed up at the scheduled time and notified me of their ETA. Once there, they took very good care of my things by wrapping furniture items in moving pads/blankets and plastic wrap designed for moving. I paid them a flat fee for the move and I was surprised to find out that wrapping my furniture in this method was included in the price. The 2 men that moved me were very polite and friendly and treated my stuff as it if were their own. More importantly, they did not bang up my brand new house (new construction) or scuff up any walls, though my house doesn't have any particularly tough corners or tight spots. In fact, 2 days after my move and I could not find even a single mark they left behind. The price they charged me was exactly what they quoted and found it to be very reasonable for a relatively easy and straight forward move. <br />"
