"Communicated timely. They were transparent, showed me the video and where my drains were clogged. I wasn't able to get all the drains flushed, but they met my immediate needs. Would definitely recommend them and will be calling them to do regular drain maintenance."

"..I understood that there would be overtime charges because of weekend and the time of day. I shut the water off to the house and didn't want to wait overnight and try to get someone on a Sunday. The plumber arrived earlier than some of his other scheduled jobs to take advantage of what sunlight remained. He explained that the pvc connection was made incorrectly and that was the cause of the leak. He removed the section of pipe that ran from the service entrance shut-off valve to the pipe that led to my backyard hose bibs. The section he removed contained another valve that shut water off to my backyard.Β  <br /> He was installing the new section when I noticed that it didn't contain the valve to shut-off water to my backyard. (I usually have the water shut-off to the backyard except when I need it because I don't want to have to shut off water to the house when repairing leaks in the underground pipes or the hose bibs.) When I questioned the plumber about Β this, he muttered, "customers!" and went to his truck for a valve which he then installed. <br /> My problem with Garrett is that the quality and professionalism you get when you call for service varies with the person who shows up for the job. I've noticed this from past experiences. For that reason, I'm looking for a plumber with consistent quality employees. For this job, I believe the plumber was probably well qualified, but I believe that he should have installed the same type of hardware that he removed (the shut-off valve) before proceeding. <br />"

"Nobody wants to have to call a plumber but let&apos;s face it, **** happens. I&apos;ve had some bad experiences with some of the plumbing companies so I decided to try someplace new. Luckily I found Abe Lincoln Plumbing and Heating online, and they made it pain free. Our toilet was backing up, just a mess. I called at 8pm freaking out and Paul actually came out that late! Turned out the main sewer line was clogged. He cleared the drain in no time, and honestly, I was expecting to pay a lot more. So needless to say, I will definitely be calling them again when **** happens."

Thought I also needed drain snaked but saved me money but saying the problem was just the hard water build up in the toilet. You will be much happier avoiding a big commercial outfit and hire Dave for whatever work you need done. Will not upsell you and will be honest with the costs."

"Very professional, located and handled the issue with our sump pump drain line blockage within hrs. But not only that then went the extra mile to prevent the blockage from ever occurring again in the future and making a whole new drain line above ground so it doesnΓ’ t get blocked with mud with the Florida rain. The gentleman Marty is very service oriented and has a very high care factor."

"We have been trying to repair the drain lines inside and outside of our son's rental house without going broke and Adrian and his crews took one step at a time trying to save us money but doing all the repairs we needed. It ended up we also had to re-do the under-the-house-pipes and Gulfshore did it without much damage to the floors and walls and have been wonderful during this pains-taking event. Their crew even tunneled under the bathtub rather than tearing it out. I was amazed. They have been very patient with us and we are still working on finishing up this project. They have finished their part except they are awaiting us to finish up the re-tiling and drywall repair so they can put back the sink and toilet. Everything is coming together wonderfully and I'll use Gulfshore Plumbers on MY house if ever needed. THANK YOU ADRIAN! YOU"RE THE BEST."

"Services performed: plumber ran snake from vent stack to clear sewer line blockage; and, a camera diagnostic to identify cause of the blockage. On site tasks were performed in a punctual and professional manner. The camera diagnostic of the sewer line was included in the overall costs -- the video clearly identified the cause of the sewer blockage. Good value for the services provided."

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in Indian Rocks Beach, FL

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your techniqueβ€”or your pipes are already fragileβ€”calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposalβ€”no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drainβ€”and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grimeβ€”but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
