Our own clumsy attempts at repair included a mismatched thermostat. The thermostat was replaced in a few minutes and works well. "The inspection done by Octagon Roofing Co Inc. didn't seem like it was thorough. I would have preferred him to go over everything with me. I had to basically ask questions, which  he did answer. In the end, he did what he was supposed to do. They call it a 52 point inspection and basically, it's a xeroxed copy of a check-off list, is what it is. He literally just checked each thing and then "They you go." It's just funny. I find it not to be as much of an inspection and analysis as I would have hoped, that's all. He did have some kind of measurement tape thing that he did and that he looked at. So, that's the only thing. He got here early, but I didn't own the home yet, so I was trying to schedule it to be at a certain time and he got here about 15 minutes early. I don't think that anybody should charge for a roof inspection."
