"Where do I even begin telling you about Tony and the wonderful work he does, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the "going beyond the call" mentality? We had a water mark showing up on our family room ceiling that was gradually getting bigger and darker. With two bathrooms on the second floor right above the damage we were pretty sure what the problem was. We really didn't know of any contractors that would do this "small" of a job so I went searching. Stumbled across Midwest Remodel and Handyman in my search, saw some good reviews and that's when we were fortunate enough to have met Tony! He came right out and assessed the damage and within a day gave me a fair quote and an estimate of when he would be able to do the work. Hired!!! Then, before he even started this job for us, my mailbox post decided to crap out on us and was almost leaning in to the street. I called Tony just to see if by chance he could fix it for me. Again...he came right out and took care of the problem for me! Unbelievable! When the time came to actually do the work I initially hired him for, he was prompt, diligent, efficient, he cleans up after himself literally every day before he leaves, and I have to say that watching Tony and his helper Brandon work together is entertaining, to say the least! What a couple of great guys with a great sense of humor! And when all was said and done, he stuck to his quote, no overcharging and the work was impeccable. But here is a testimony to the true character of these guys...in the midst of all the repair work going on, my wife had a medical emergency. I had to go pick her up from work and leave her car in the parking lot where she left it as she was unable to drive. On day two of her hospitalization, these guys offered to take me to go get my wife's car so it didn't have to sit in the parking lot any longer. They did not have to do that but that's the kind of guys they are and I was incredibly grateful! Class act all the way! Best of all, we now have someone that we can trust and rely on to do things around the house for us that we just don't have the talent or skills to do ourselves! What a relief!!! We already have more things for him to do! This guy is so good, it didn't take long for our neighbors to catch on...he's doing work for them now too!"

"Dan was GREAT!!! He works nights and weekends for no extra fee. He came the same day I called even though his schedule was full. He ordered parts and then called me when they arrived. He came and did the repair all within 5 days. I will use Dan in the future. Dan was a little (VERY minimal) bit higher priced BUT he came in the evening and on Saturday for NO extra cost. The extra cost Dan charges would have been A LOT more for the nights and weekend at another company! I HIGHLY recommend Dan for ANY appliance repair!"

"We had hired Jeremy a couple years ago for a bathroom shower repair so did not hesitate again to contact him when we had a leaking pipe under our kitchen sink and leaky faucet above. He and his wife provided lots of useful information and suggested getting the needed parts under warranty for the faucet instead of the additional cost of replacing it. He does what's best for the customer and didn't just automatically suggest the most expensive thing like replacing the faucet. In the end, we went ahead with a replacement because the faucet was out of warranty so for the investment it made sense to replace. He suggested a brand for us that would have a lifetime warranty and explained the quality of their products. Again, to me, this shows his concern, honesty and integrity regarding his work and customer's best interest. With our kitchen setup containing a corner sink placement in addition to the original builder or prior DIY work of the disposal and pipe location and setup, the repair of the leaky pipe under the sink was not the most convenient and comfortable work for him. He still took the needed time and did the job thoroughly and completely making sure to explain what he was going to do and what had happened to cause the leak in the pipe in the first place. He found a 2nd leaky pipe just behind the wall when testing the first part of the job and fixed that as well. He and his assistant were very thorough, conscientious, pleasant and cleaned up tremendously when they were done. I highly recommend The Handy Guy."

"My wife and I have worked with several contractors over the past three years to remodel and refurbish the interior and exterior of our house. We’ve been fortunate in our choices of service providers and are pleased with most everyone we’ve worked with. But without doubt, one of our very best choices was Red House Remodeling who helped us plan and remodel most of our first floor. The kitchen and dining room was our biggest project, and thanks to Red House was an absolute success. The process they follow in presenting design options and planning every detail virtually guarantees the outcome. We spent a good deal of time upfront working with Jenna, one of the staff interior designers who walked us through several design options and then through every choice of products and materials for the project—from cabinets and counters to fixtures and switch plates. We knew just what had to be done from the start; no mid-project surprises or compromises. We were impressed not only with Ben’s crew, but also with the great subcontractors they work with. And we appreciated Ben’s active management style and and oversight of the work. We always knew where the project was at and what came next. I was especially greatful for all the precautions taken for dust control and the effort made to keep the area clean throughout the construction. In the end we have a gorgeous kitchen/dining room finished on time and on budget—and most importantly, no complaints! Following the kitchen, we worked with Red House to remodel our living room, too, with similarly fantastic results. Throughout both projects and since completion, Ben and company have been very responsive and accommodating. We’ll be taking on the second floor in a few years, and there’s no doubt who we’ll call."

"We're on hold with this project currently, (through no fault of Doors of Distinction), but I couldn't be more complimentary about Jim.  He was right on time, helped us talk through our options, and really helped us narrow in on the look we were looking for.  He got right back to us with an estimate, and has followed up a couple times just for good measure.  He's probably a little more expensive than some contractors, but this is definitely a "get what you pay for" situation -- you're not paying more for the materials, you're paying more for his experience and expertise.
