"Jon did a timely, quick, thorough job. And this, after hours. Had he not fixed us up after the workday ended as he did, we would have either been without water overnight or paid our water company to spill 3 gallons per minute down our street. Get Winkle’s Plumbing whenever you can. They’r grand."

"We have used Cedar Bluff Plumbing in the past and have had great service. Our most recent plumbing issue was more complicated than originally thought, but once again CBP, specifically Stephen Anderson, did an excellent job. Stephen was knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. He made sure our problem was completely resolved and put our minds at ease. I would highly recommend!"

"I called for a repair on a toilet, told then that I already had the replacement part, just wanted them to replace it for me. Being a 'Gold' member, they told me it would be $30.00 to just come out and check it out and take care of it. They arrived on-site, I showed him my Kohler replacement part and the tech proceeded to spend close to 45 minutes trying to figure out his tablet, only to find out he was getting me 4 quotes ready. two of which were to replace the toilet, one to replace all the parts and one to use there value at a cost of $248.00 dollars. (He could have already replaced what I needed) I proceeded to ask him to leave, he charged me the $30.00...what a joke. I have use My Pro Plumber in the past, but never again, this was unbelievable. I am not sure what they are doing these days, but if you need something minor, do not call these guys. I filled out their survey, the owner called, missed the call, I tried to return the call two times, left messages."

"I had Premier Handyman install a Tesla wall charger for me along with another breaker for it and they were excellent as well as extremely fast! This wasn't the first instance I've used the company and they always do exactly what they say, when they say and at an affordable price for such quality work! I would highly recommend using The Premier Handyman for any services; electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, you name it. The owner has an honest company that provides good work for the community."

"Based on my first and so far only experience with this plumber, Dale, I recommend him highly. I am amazed at what he did for me. I had a rotten drain pipe going back into the wall that needed to be replaced. Two plumbing companies with fancy trucks told me they couldn't replace the pipe, and they would have to take out the sink vanity, cut holes in the wall replace a large section of the iron pipe with PVC parts. They would do this sometime next week at a price between one and $2000. Luckily, I called Clifton Plumbing Co., and Tammy had Dale give me a call explaining how he would take out the old copper drain pipe, which would be soldered into a collar and replace it with a new galvanized pipe. He talked big, but could he deliver? Dale showed up on time a few hours later in an old Chrysler minivan, looked at the job, and got to work. He didn't talk much, and I had to stay out of his way, but less than 30 minutes after he arrived, he had the pipe and collar removed from inside the wall and replaced with a new galvanized pipe ready to hook the sink too. I was so amazed at what this guy could do that I ask him if he could also replace the same kind of pipe in a bathroom on the other side of the wall. 20 minutes later, he came out, and it was done. I didn't get fancy trucks nor salespeople to schmooze me, but I did get to talk to Tammy, and I got to see a skilled plumber go in laser-focused on getting the job done and doing what others could not do. I'm so happy I found Tammy and Dale. Mike"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Jacksboro, TN

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
