"Very poorly. General housecleaning was needed, not shampoo of rugs, carpet and upholstered furniture. The upholstered furniture in the keeping room was cleaned with chemicals, which removes any stain repellent treatment . There was dust on the Master bedroom furniture. Master bath was cleaned, fixtures and tile floor were satisfactory but a tree of life rug that was selected by and a favorite of my husband is gone with no explanation. The drawers in the vanity in the master bath had been gone through with the contents scattered on the counter. The drawers in the bedroom furniture had been rummaged through. Also, almost every sheet and towel in the linen closet are gone. I found the only kitchen towel (out of what had been a drawer full of towels) in an upstairs bathroom, but there was no reason for any employee to be upstairs. The master bedroom and bath are on the first floor. I contacted the business but was "brushed off". No restitution was offered and I had to pay the charge on my credit card. I was told that I have a "beautiful" house. My niece and sister hired the company, but did not have my approval other than general cleaning. That is, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, etc. I was hospitalized and then in a nursing home for an extended period at the time. I believe Service Master was remiss in not obtaining my approval of any services before performing the cleaning. This cost me $1,245.00 for less than a day's work. So yes, much blame lies with my family, but blame is also with Service Master of Canton."
