"This company is amazing, they take such pride in their work. The stump grinder they used leaves tracks on the concrete so they made sure to put down ground cloths when they drove it to the site. They cut down the tree and removed the stump a good 12 inches below the ground. They also took care of removing the irrigation system for the tree. The site was left in a way that you would never think a tree was ever there. They did remove another stump and again they did an exceptional job. Their cleanup was exceptional and I would definitely hire them again!"

"I've used James A Cary Tree Service on 2 occasions and i'm very happy with their service. The team was easy to work with and they were happy to take specific directions from me as they worked. They arrived on time and quickly made progress with the 6 trees that needed trimming. They worked very efficiently and did a good job cleaning up in the all the areas they worked. I was provided advice on how to best maintain the trees. I plan on using them in the future and recommend them for their expertise and thoughtful service. They are very meticulous on their cleanup and their word great job James Cary."

"A job well done! I have 2 large pine trees with about 3 years of nettles on the ground. They came late in the the afternoon and stayed until dark to complet my yard. They cut a tree down and removed dead bushes. Great price! Great job!"

"We were not on site when the tree was removed but all debris had been removed when we arrived.  The next door neighbor stated that the crew had been very careful to keep anything from falling in her yard.

"We had used them about a year ago for the same thing, and once again they did a terrific job. The estimate came in lower than last year - less work to do - but this time we had them haul the trash and branches to avoid problems with our trash collection. That took the price to a bit higher than last year but was worth it for a pristine, worry-free yard to enjoy now that the temps are dropping."

"Rudolph arrived on time and was prepared to work the full day if needed to complete our projects. He has integrity! We had a laundry list of items to be repaired, and he let us know for several items on the list that we should hire another provider to complete the work. Some things he said he could do, but wouldn't do it as well as another professional. He even went so far as to provide us recommendations for who to call for a couple things (custom door weather stripping & ceiling fan repairs). We will be hiring him again later this year to repair and paint our fence/gates as well as install casters on a cabinet. The only reason I gave him a 'B' for quality was because one of our chair legs was repaired with a gap where there shouldn't be a gap, so the attention to detail on this repair faded. The quality of that work was not on par with everything else. He has promised to deliver puddy when in the area next since re-doing the repair may damage the chairs thanks to the wood glue. The wood glue overflow seemed excessive to my husband, but I believe that is normal and we were able to remove it once dry. The other 'B' for professionalism was regarding cleanup - which is one of my pet peeves with contractors. The keys to my back fence gate (which includes a house key) were left in the gate unattended during the day, and not returned at the end of the day. There were extra pieces of the chicken wire which we had to throw away. And the old chicken wire was thrown away in our recycling bin instead of trash bin."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Jean, NV

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
