"Very professional! I hired them for 2 projects and both times they were on time and completed the projects. Their rates were reasonable. Bruce switched out a breaker and Cory brought in a 16 ladder to switch out our two story chandler lights with damaging walls or woodwork. I will be contacting them for all my electrical work!"

"Called for an electric fan that was not working and was told it needs to be replaced. Not charged for service of checking it. I had an outlet that needed replaced that I had forgotten to mention which he was able to fix while he was there."

"The work went well and the electricians worked the entire time (about a 4 hour project). There was no goofing off or frequently "checking phones." They did a good job especially with a difficult installation of a new floor outlet in our office. I would hire Waibel again for electrical work."

"I recently moved into a new home with some electrical issues, and I had been searching for an electrician for several weeks.  I interviewed dozens of electricians and could not find anyone that felt right for me and that I could trust.  I had several issues in the home, the first of which I wanted to tackle was the panel and service. <br /> I saw an Angie's list deal and contacted Jeremy.  He responded right away.  He came out the same day to look at the panel and had his team out that same week to complete the work.  He was the most responsive and most thorough of the 10+ electricians I received quotes from or talked to.  He is not only an excellent electrician but is also a superior communicator and highly responsive. <br /> All of the other electricians I spoke with were anywhere from 4+ to 8+ weeks out with work and frequently did not bother getting back with me on quotes or questions.  Jeremy was no more than 2 weeks out and always responded when I had a question or concern. <br /> As for the work done, I was very impressed with the quality of work that Jeremy and his team did.  I will be using Undefined Heights for all of my future electrical needs, and I suggest you do the same.  Jeremy and his team get an A+ in my book.  Thanks Jeremy! <br />"

"I recently received a job offer that required me to move across the country, so I needed to get my house ready to sell in a very short period of time and needed a panel upgrade. Breeze Electric worked with me to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and in a manner that my wallet certainly appreciated, especially since I was getting ready to move 5 states away. I truly appreciate how easy the process was."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Johnstown, OH

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
