Marco, the owner, met me at the house and went through each tree and bush with me, identifying what it is, discussing what it should look like, what it takes to maintain it, and particularly what will be good or problematic about it in the long term. This was INCREDIBLY helpful, and I especially appreciated that the recommendation of and quot;pull it out and replace it with something elseand quot; was kept to a minimum - he was never trying to get me to spend more money than was absolutely necessary right now. <br /> All told, we received an estimate for a one-time mow, edging, cutting down a diseased tree (not pulling up the stump), trimming all bushes, cleaning up the dead elements of perennials, uprooting the garden and one foundation bed along the back, and a full weeding. It would have easily taken us a whole Saturday just to deal with the garden. The total came out to $805, which we felt was reasonable considering all of the large-scale removal. <br /> The mowing and edging was done the next day. The rest of the work was done within a week. It looks FANTASTIC - everything he indicated they'd do was done, and the entire property looks fresh and clean. Our goal was to get everything cleaned up before winter, and then in spring we can make decisions on whether we want to replace anything, and it is certainly set for that! We would absolutely hire them again for any landscaping needs we have! <br />"

"We had someone else come out earlier with a quote that was less than McGinty's so we were not sure at that time exactly what we were going to do but the gentleman from McGinty was very nice and very punctual. I think that we just really left it there. His price was almost double the price of the other company that I had come out. I think that I could get a $40 or $60 discount from them because of Angie's List but still, they were more. The gentleman seemed knowledgeable of the different trees that we had. I was hoping to get the work done now but he said, then they would have to charge us more because we have an oak tree at the back and that needed to be done after the leaves fall off. He said that if anyone else told us to do it now, they would be telling us incorrectly. I am not a tree person so I do not know. It is hard to say if we would consider using them in the future because of the price but we will get another quote from them again."
